Back in the ‘70s, I got all my news from Johnny Carson’s monologue. I figured if anything wasn’t important enough for Johnny’s writers to come up with jokes about it, it wasn’t something I needed to know about.

We need someone like that now.

In Trumpspeak, a “triple” involves rubber sheets and three Russian girls full of vodka.

CNN sucks.

When presented with the first wave of fake news- Limbaugh style- 50 years, the major networks tried to bend over backwards to be fair. They presented information they knew to have little factual basis because they felt like that was their job— to tell everything and expect the viewers to be smart enough to figure out who was lying to them. Obviously, that was a bit too optimist.

Ruben has the “New” CNN pretty well figured out!

So, tell us again about the “liberal media.”

I no longer watch CNN. It is not trustworthy on anything that matters.

From my early days of watching Mort Sahl and reading Art Buchwald, I have always preferred political satire to what was laughingly passed off as serious reporting.

Those individuals who are the most thin-skinned and incensed by satire, are the ones most easily lampooned.

Ever notice that dictators, impeached presidents, and failed business executives have no sense of humor – especially when the joke is directed at them?

I don’t have cable at home, so I only see CNN in hotel lobbies when I’m traveling. Walked into my hotel a couple days ago, could have sworn the TV was tuned to Faux. Then I saw the CNN logo. I guess they’ve decided to chase the “don’t want Fox but still want the lies” market.

This is CNN. And it sucks more than ever. Wish James Earl Jones would say THAT.

Point counterpoint, with news anchors Dan Ackroyd and Jane Curtin. Saying the well known tagline in the segment could get me in trouble.

Chances are that there’s always at least one completely loony point of view on anything. When ratings are at stake it’s important to find it.

In seeking to entertain everybody CNN is losing to everybody else. They will have to pick a bias and stay with it.

This is a longer version of one of Dr. Phil’s sayings, “There aren’t two versions of the truth.” My saying is “Just because you don’t like the news, that doesn’t mean it’s biased.”

Like when Black Crimes Matter attacked CNN.

Let see…”advocacy” news: Hunters laptop doesn’t exist, Russian collusion, 7 people were killed on Jan 6. Hmmmmmm……

The 70s were much more liberal, plus Jimmy Carter was actively fighting climate change by setting a good example at the White House.

Nah, BO absolutely denied the link between cigs & lung cancer. Since no one’s claiming that smoking always results in lung cancer, or that all lung cancer is due to smoking, what would be the point of arguing otherwise? Gotcha again!

And BO was also on here pretending that the extreme-right neo-nazis with the Tiki torches and the chants at Charlottesville were some how neither extreme right nor neo-nazi, so…
