What I do like is the character has a handicap and doesn’t take life for granted. Millions and millions of us are in the same boat. I have a place in my heart for Hamm who has a handicap and I know its a cartoon. I always pull for the underdogs. Like all you crazy and courageous snarkers and readers who have read Gil Thorp some for 40 years and more. Bless all you readers. I’m pulling for you. On a sad note. Tina Turner died today at the age of 83. She was an incredible singer and had songs like “What’s Love Got To Do With It?” “Proud Mary” River Deep Mountain High"…also a little late Jim Brown at 87 years old R.I.P. Jim.
Look, I’m not going to say that Milford High is weird, exactly, but I don’t think it’s quite normal for teens to be extremely supportive of a classmate who’s secretly going blind but then cruelly turn on him when the learn that his dad got caught up in a print media plagiarism scandal years earlier. How much could these kids care about journalism ethics? The media figure they have the most contact with is Marty Moon!
Looks like our illustrious duo has tuned out Gregggg and are getting really tuned in to each other. And speaking of other, you should be reading the other version of this strip, Mopped Up Thorp.

The blind guy is now the catcher? Hope he’s wearing his cup. The blind leading the blind……this must be some type of social experiment.

What is worse than “jumping the shark”? Whatever it is Barajas has done it.

I’m having a little trouble making the connection between his dad apologizing for being a plagiarist and the next pitch could be your last.

P 2.5: “…no ….my dad is a polygamist…”

Dorothy will need to set up the overhead projector, connect her laptop and get the whiteboard ready to make her pitch.

P3: Two fastballs to the head means the next pitch may be HIS last. Are they using beeper balls so that he can catch without seeing them?
metals24 11 months ago
Didn’t he tell them both to pitch in yesterdays strip?

P2- Is that Rocky Balboa talking? “Yooo, Adrian!”

Will this strip ever make sense again?

Where’s the end quote in P2? Tomorrow’s strip?

Hopefully, that’s “his fourth hit-by-pitch” for up to that point in the season and not just in that game.
