Today’s modern religious conservative Republicans are the American counterpart to the mullahs of Iran. They should be known as the Christofascist Caliphate of Talibangelistan aka Y’all Qaeda of Gilead. They bear as little resemblance to the teachings attributed to Jesus as Faux “News” does to anything resembling journalism.

Republicans talk about “FREEDOM!” but in reality what they want is for BIG GOVERNMENT to micromanage every aspect of our personal, private lives.

Today’s religious conservative Republicans want to get government “off the backs” of corporations and the Wall $treet Bank$ters who collapsed our economy. But they want BIG MILITARY and BIG CORPORATE WELFARE and telling people how to live their private lives. Lots of military. Big military. And tons of money for their “defense contractors” of the military-industrial complex merging military and corporate interests.

The only “freedom” religious conservative Republicans believe in is the right of big corporations to run roughshod over the rights of workers, consumers and our shared environment, or the right of terrorists, violent domestic abusers, violent convicted felons or pathologically mentally ill to be able to place an order on the Internet or walk into any gun show and buy as many high-capacity semiautomatic battlefield weapons as they can from a private party seller. They want our terrorists, abusers, criminals and deranged to be the best armed mass murderers in the world.

FREEDOM!

Yeah, you guys have a ways to go to catch up to the American Republican Christaliban…

Mike isn’t as outrageous as usual. I actually agree that the GOP in my state is engaging in the top three legislatively. I think the bottom three are merely liberal talking points, stretching the facts without major workable recourse. Calling a half day misadventure from a bunch of idiots a coup is laughable. My definition of fair elections are the ones run by a set of orderly rules. There is nothing unfair about disqualifying those who cannot or will not follow the rules. Finally, I am waiting breathlessly for the police to clear out all the illegal weapons from the inner cities and for the border to be secured to stop the flow of weapons across the border. If you have a workable way of reducing firearm death, I am all for it! Ditto abortions but I just cannot see politicians doing anything meaningful. Yapping at each other solves nothing.

Idaho passed a law making it illegal for residents to go to to other states to obtain an abortion. No word on when women will be required to wear burqas ….

The QOP would condemn the Taliban as too liberal.

When Republicans say “religious freedom,” what they mean is White, conservative, christian privilege.

When they say “parental control,” what they mean is White, conservative, christian dominion.

When they say “parental rights,” what they mean is White, conservative, christian bigotry.

LOL! Not sure what the QOP is so you might be right on that, but the bulk of conservatives are not religious lunatic.

Except for the costume there really is not much difference is there between the Taliban and the direction the Republican party is moving.

If it weren’t for skin color and the mutual hatred caused by it, the GQP and the Taliban would have merged by now.

GOP is the party of Big Brother. But there is beauty in what it does: drawing all of our attention to inappropriate sculptures from Michelangelo, snitch lines, book banning and attacks on the First Amendment draws our attention away from mass shootings, especially in schools. Kids can’t learn because of teachers and “indoctrination?” Maybe kids can’t learn because of weekly active shooter drills.

Right! things like this divide us and steal us of our Freedom. How about these for values. Liberty, not equality or equity. E Pluribus Unum, out of the the many one, not many divided groups from one. In God we Trust, something greater than ourselves, not government that we should have more control over.
