It should be “What should have the Iraq War taught us”. Because we learned nothing.

At least at the governmental level, if not elsewhere.

Do not forget who is the driving force behind most of the republican attacks: Our VERY Wealthy Elite. The repubs take their money (as do most dems as well) and make sure regulations are relaxed or repealed, tax rate for their class get “re-adjusted” often, and our expensive military will protect their overseas holdings. As long as performing grandstanders like trump and desantis, no matter how dangerous, keep the public’s attention away from reality, the 1% don’t give a darn about the welfare of this country and continue to amass obscene fortunes at the cost to the rest of us.

All you need is a French style revolution to remove the rot.

Where is the “none of the above” option since we apparently haven’t learned any of those lessons

What a grand idea. IQ tests for voters….that would stop MAGA in its tracks…Actually making people take the citizen test for immigrants and show they know SOMETHING, ANYTHING about how the American Democracy is supposed to work would help with the preponderance of uneducated idiots voting for liars and criminals…and would also stop MAGAs in their tracks

We are not “yet” involved in another civil way or foreign insurrection, to my knowledge – I think we’ve learned a little bit from Iraq-Afghanistan…

Beware of foreign entanglements and don’t invade other countries are arguable. Foreign entanglements are tricky but sometimes necessary to the national interest. There are circumstances where invading another country is the best available choice. It was not the best available choice in Iraq.

History doesn’t teach anything. Historians do. And conservatives are trying to muzzle them.

For the Iraq War in a larger context, see Naomi Klein’s book Shock Doctrine. It’s a long book because the Iraq War was just another act in a very long drama.

Biggest omission: Don’t trust your sociopathic VP who was a major player in a company that will benefit from an unnecessary and regional destabilizing invasion.

Good to know you are in favor of the Russian genocide in Ukraine and are mindlessly regurgitating FSB/GOP talking points

Wait……am I the only one who noticed the glaringly obvious??

Never trust Big LIES!!! The entire 20 year nightmare was all because of LIES… Willful, Calculated, evil LIES!!

First it was WMD’s. Chemical, biological, possibly nuclear. That LIE fell through.

Then it was Al Qaeda connections. Osama Bin Laden…. Then that LIE fell through.

Then it was another. And another. And another. Throwing any kind of conspiracy against the wall, hoping one would stick with the public.

    LIES.

And Bush and Cheney were never put before a world court for war crimes.
