I don’t get it

I don’t particularly like this cartoon. Nothing to do with Steve, but to me, It just shows how horses are inhumanely treated!

I read the novel Black Beauty as a kid. Still haunts me to this day, despite the lame attempt at a happy ending.

If this is a comment on the racing industry, it is way off. They send healthy but “SLOW” horses to the slaughter house.

This has nothing to do with the treatment of horses. It’s a commentary on the gerontocracy in the Democratic party.

My ex racehorse is 23 this year. He raced twice at age 5 and was slow and got hurt. I got him at 7. He is a good trail horse, a good trick horse, brave and loves people. His highest ambition is to be a golden retriever. Yes, he fetches, kisses, shakes and knows about 25 other tricks. He loves children and he has been horrified all 5 times I.ve fallen off of him. Just because a horse doesn’t have a sound leg left doesn’t make him a bad horse. My last horse lived to 36

Reflecting back on 2003 March 20: The Bush/Cheney Administration had approved the name “Operation Iraqi Liberation” for its invasion of Iraq until someone pointed out what the acronym would be, whereupon it was changed to “Operation Iraqi Freedom”.
