There’s a reason why they call nature a mother.

Maybe it snowed or rained heavily here in Northern Italy: we are on the verge of a drought and possible water rationing.

We were only supposed to have a 70% chance of rain, but it rained 200% ….all day! Buckets of rain!

I prefer to think no matter what weather persons have at their disposal, they never can get it right.

As the late great Roddy Piper was fond of saying: “Just when you know the answers I change the questions.”

My wife has learned a lot from Mother Nature in that regard.

But let’s not forget that Old Man Winter sometimes doesn’t know enough when to leave.

God has a sense of humor

It’s the federal budget. The first thing they cut is always the Department of Weather Control.

Listen to the weather forecast, then plan for the opposite. You will be right more often than wrong.

Weather forecasting is about like the medical practice, namely, not an exact science. And with climate change being another wrinkle in the mix, the weather is even less predictable.

They call doctors business a practice. Weathermen and doctors are still just practicing.

For all of you who complain about the accuracy of the weather forecast, how did your NCAA Tourney Bracket work out for you?

It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature

Nature has its own sense of humor as it goes about its business. Life chuckles, as it stifles full laughter.

I was taught that meteorology is a science; just not an EXACT science!!!

What woman does; yet predictable most are after you get to know them. As to Mother Nature, she’s done a better job of deceiving us as at times to her plans…..

I’ve always felt there are two professions – meteorology and economics – where are you can be wrong your whole career and still be considered an expert as long as you can explain why you were wrong.
