Is his mind going anywhere in particular? Or just going in circles? Or bouncing (inside his head) off the “walls” (his cranium)?

My mind tends to stroll (down memory lane).

I would have guessed wallowing in unsaturated fat.

I’m surprised that any part of him would expend any energy in a pursuit that doesn’t involve junk food.
