Awwwww. Ora Z comforting Pucky in panel one. I like that side of her. And then she gets scared and takes refuge under his ongoing stance.

I was not a fan of mid-century Mediterranean. I remember making an aubergine macramé plant holder with black beads for a cousin who was redecorating in that style. My hands were purple for days!

The Panther looks to protect the brood. He raises mighty forepaws in the air, and makes menacing hisses at the giant anaconda. For a millennium or more, these two ancient rivals, the mighty panther of the jungle and the reptilian anaconda have fought for supremacy.

Today, the ancient reptile has the high ground. He sits in the giant angelim vermelho tree, seemingly secure in his fortress. But our panther knows that the Epiphytes grow off the ground, their roots claiming sanctuary on the mighty angelim vermelho tree, so they offer little support for the giant snake. If the panther were to deftly move to the side and pounce, he could unbalance the snake, and the tenuous grip of the Epiphytes would free, the snake would falter, and he could win this day.

If not for himself, for his kin and brood, who stand with him, but surrender to his position, as the leader of their pack.

When we first moved into this house, Snowball got to see his first ceiling fan in operation. He spent the next couple weeks crab puffing across the room whenever it was on. Finally decided it wasn’t going to eat him and ignored it thereafter.

Perhaps there is a lovely Edwardian fixture in the attic…the one that was disposed in favor of this thing. Oh, just had a horrible thought…weren’t these things usually found in sets of three, all hanging at different heights?

How many halls must sweet Puck walk down

Before he can feel all right?

How many lamps must a white cat break

Before he will see the light?

Yes, and how many years must those dang fixtures hang

    Before they’re forever banned?

The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind

The answer is swingin’ with Lupin

For those of you who follow Tommy’s FB page, she’s posted pictures when they first moved to their new house and it’s reminiscent of this décor. You can clearly see it in the background. Like it hasn’t been updated in forever. The first time I saw it, it reminded me of the song Brandy by the Looking Glass for whatever reason.

    Meanwhile, Back on the Nile

Puckmosis: Let’s take the scrolls to the Reading Room and start going through them.

Ora Zed: You mean knock them on the floor and run through them?

Puck: No, just carefully unroll them one at a time and read them. It takes patience.

    Ora Z: What’s patience?

Puck: Hard to explain. It means taking your time when you want to rush through something.

Ora Z: You mean like sitting sill when someone else is doing something?

Puck: Something like that. Let’s start by picking one scroll and opening it.

Ora Z: I like this scroll first.

Puck: Okay. Let’s see what it says.

We decided to collect all the scrolls and literature that we could find and house them in a huge building. We will keep everything stored away so no one can touch it.

Ora Z: Why don’t they want anyone touching their scrolls?

    Puck: I don’t know. Let’s read further.

I’m feeling so guilty. Yesterday I nipped into the basement to do some laundry… and didn’t realize Bartholomew had followed me. It was Albert’s Man who heard his pitiful cries and unlocked the door to rescue him. He was wary for the rest of the day whenever the basement door opened and he didn’t lie down with me this morning. Hopefully I can win back his trust.
