I used to watch Chopped until so many people came on trying to get points for sob stories, all teary-eyed about how they were there competing in remembrance of their long-gone great aunt twice removed who once taught them to make [insert nationality] cookies and they just know their auntie is looking down on them smiling as they cook and they [sob] are there to honor her memory and their heritage and make her proud.

It’s all in good fun until someone gets their buns burned. :)

This is the difference between British shows and American shows.
