I remember back in early 80s in journalism school, one of the professors lamented the advent of cable news — said it would be the death of the profession.
What passes for news in the right wing echo chamber would embarrass even Herr Joseph Goebbels at the rank amateurism that is readily consumed by morons. Who could have foreseen that the death of modern Democracy would be the dearth of an “informed electorate”?
Definition of a “stable genius”: Mr. Ed, the talking horse. Because unlike people who yackity-yak and waste your time of day, Mr. Ed will only speak when he has something to say. 8>)

So, if you deliver the false equivalency in a squeaky voice, does that make it a falsetto equivalency? And does that boost ratings?

I recently heard a comedian do a parody of a CNN spot. In a deep, James Earl Jonesian voice, he said, “You’re watching CNN. I can’t imagine why.”

Amazing how current the comments are on a comic published several years ago. “History may not repeat itself, but it does rhyme a lot.” [Mark Twain]
