He’s already on record as intending to run even if indicted.

If found guilty and sentenced for federal crimes relating to the Jan/6 committee findings or the obstruction case related to the documents sought and seized from the FBI search warrant, his confinement would likely be at a US Government facility such as a military base in protective and monitored captivity. He thinks he can run a government from there, just ask him.

Remember Eugene Debs ran for presidrmt from federal prison in 1920.

Not sure if this applies everywhere, but in my state a person has to be an approved write-in candidate (gathered enough signatures to be on a list) or the write-in is ignored and it is considered a non-vote. One year, the same candidate was listed for EVERY city council member. When I looked him up, I found out he was in jail.
