There are plenty of unicorn lovers out there, Marigold. Just show yourself, they’ll cheer up, they praise you which is what you love, mission accomplished!

This isn’t a zero sum game where in order to make one person happier, you must make someone else less happy.

I, for one, am very happy when I get to be helpful, even if it’s just giving directions or finding a book at the library.

Phoebe says it all in the last panel Marigold!

How can I give everyone what they want when what everyone wants is to beat the others?

I wonder how many magical “mana” points Marigold is using as she’s writing the scroll..

You know, one does have to appreciate Phoebe’s continued and consistent patience with Marigold on this. I’d personally would probably started to get a little fed up with her on this matter by now.

Marigold, you antihero.

Now Marigold sounds like a lot of psychotherapists.

They want to make you feel better, but it in fact is all an ego game where they must always come out on top and feel as if they know everything and are the best.

As long as you know less than Marigold you’re ok.

Marigold can’t truly write a self help guide because she can’t enter the mind of someone else and truly be able to think from their viewpoint.

she might quickly lose interest in helping troubled beings on a regular basis.

And many would be insulted and angered by her because they would know she only thinks of herself.

keep in mind that some people whom you know are not what they seem are actually writing self help books.

you will be amazed at what advice they can give.

Only to be equally hurt, disgusted and betrayed by who the author really is like and what they do in their own lives.
