I read of a shopowner who hung his sign upside down. Passersby would pop in to tell him someone had turned his sign upside down. His sales improved.

So… If Monty couldn’t remember the Ohio-Canadian War that never happened, how can EB-3 remember the dodgy campanile that never was? There’s clearly more going on here than meets the eye…

There’s a saying that “you shouldn’t mess around with Mother Nature”. There should be a saying that “You shouldn’t mess around with Father Time”.

Sometimes it is better to leave well enough alone, because “fixing” things can make stuff worse.

It’s incredible that it’s been leaning since the 1100’s—and is still subject to possibly falling.

Have you seen the leaning water tower in Groom, TX,maybe Monty could fix that?

Looking at the mess we have right now, what makes ANYbody think we have anything to offer to previous times? Case in point above.

Pisa is indeed a one-trick pony. The cathedral is impressive, the baptistry even more so, but no one pays a particle of attention to them. I don’t think you can get inside them, anyhow. And the gee-gaws and trinkets and “souvenirs” and gheapo gimcracks (and counterfeit watches and similar things) are beeg bizness.
