The GQP had no problem raising the debt ceiling three times during dolt45’s reign of error.

Now they’re ready to plunge the world economy into ruin and chaos for the chance to whittle away at social security and Medicare.

Let go of your false equivalency delusions, the sooner the better.

I guess that BADwyn would rather have the Chinese Yuan, the Euro, the British Pound Sterling or the Russian “Rubble” used as the “official” trading currency instead of the American Dollar!!!

This is beyond stupid

Let’s start with rescinding the portion of the 2017 tax cuts that apply to the top 1% and corporations and increase revenue.

The self-destructive, resentful, undereducated voters have sent their most vocal populist representatives to the House to divide and weaken our nation, it seems.

and the corporate state has bought them

The debt ceiling is a stupid distraction. Either we are spending too much or we are not bringing in enough revenue or both. The result is repayments on borrowing. We should restore taxes on higher earners to where they used to be and make more sane financial decisions with the budget. It was 50% in the 80s and 70% in the early eighties. You can’t cut revenue if you don’t cut spending!

Last president to balance the budget?

Americas infrastructure is crumbling because every former administration neglected it! Before America becomes a third world country, take care of home first! Foreign countries are so beautiful, roads are pristine, etc. Just the grids alone will need to be replaced, so they don’t get hacked by enemies! They’re old as dirt! With all the trillions of dollars, WE need to come first! Why are there so many people on the street? Where’s the shelters and programs to help them out? Just the millions alone spent on garbage campaigns to elect corrupt politicians is disgusting!

Priorities are out of wack in America! ☹️

Somehow every time the conservatives yammer and whine about the debt ceiling, no one comes up with the solution… make billionaires pay fair taxes and make billion+ dollar corporations pay fair taxes. Leads back to taking private money out of campaigns.

Lying Republican insurrectionists want to destroy the USA democracy and make themselves dictators.

I’m reminded of an old cartoon where Elmer Fudd says “the music goes wound, and wound, and it comes out here.” Probably played on the Clown calliope at the congress.
