Well done Canada, people deserve the right to end their lives peacefully if they want to. Big contrast to your neighbours who think it’s their right to torture and kill you.
Yeah. ALL of the hospitals in our neck of the woods (Washington State) are owned/operated by the Roman Catholic Church, and they “have piously chosen NOT to participate” in Washington’s Death with Dignity Act, Initiative 1000, codified as Chapter 70.245 RCW, which passed on November 4, 2008 and went into effect on March 5, 2009. This act allows terminally ill adults seeking to end their life to request lethal doses of medication from medical and osteopathic physicians. – but all of my representatives/senators are mostly Roman Catholic, and those that aren’t will damm well not take on the Roman Church’s God. I hope they all die gasping for breath, chemo-bald, in diapers, and barely conscious in the dining room like my longtime friend – while his lady wife wept at his side.
Wow! Good thing there’s separation of church and state in this country! And tax-free churches can violate the law – because Jesus. . .
Having been present at one euthanasia event, I definitely think I’d prefer the method employed there to the ones Ted proposes. BTW, Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian of “The Young Turks” (TYT) have actually told Canadian and other foreigners to think twice about coming to the US, with its shootings problem, both by civilians (they showed a video of some twit shooting at a car just because it had parked briefly in front of his house) and police.
I figured this one would bring the useful idiots out of the woodwork, but is about as far fetched as your trigger happy cops from about a month ago. (you are probably sorry you told me to comment ;) )
When my Dad was dying, he spent a couple of weeks screaming in pain. His immune system was compromised by other ailments that would have caused little pain on their own, but the compromised immune system allowed shingles to cover the entire left side of his head and shoulders. This was a guy who made it through the depression, WWll, and a major car wreck with a sense of humor about the whole thing. His doctor, also his golfing buddy, finally gave him an overdose of morphine and killed him. We thanked him and he warned us that he would lose his license and possibly go to jail if we said anything to anyone, and besides, he didn’t know what we were talking about.
When my dog became sick and old enough that his life was more pain than pleasure, the vet stuck a needle in his leg and he was gone with no pain in about 30 seconds.
I’m 78, and I have been trying to get my vet to accept me as a patient , but she has an unreasonable prejudice against my species. When will we learn that when it comes to fatal pain, being treated like a dog is a really good option?
Florida, where death with dignity is illegal but having a covid death rate over 300% of Oregon’s is perfectly acceptable. Those lives are important to the right-to-life groups.

But Talibanicals want to preserve life until it is cruel and inhumane to do so. And YOU have no say in the matter!

US health “care”, where you die and still bankrupt your family.

I would thing repugs would love the idea of “suicide on demand” since I’m sure they think only “woke libs” would ever use it.

Ted often makes really good sense when he avoids attempting to justify Putin’s savage invasion of Ukraine.

Thanks to MAGAmericans, your right to keep a loaded gun & a full bottle of bourbon on the nightstand shall not be infringed.
Much like with their conspiracies about vaccines, the conservative fantasies about guns are mostly killing off the people who vote for them.

There are quite a few people along the Southern border who would give anything for a US passport.
