What a thoughtful owner, making a treat in the shape of a rat, just like moms used to cut sandwiches in fun shapes for their kids.

I dunno, that snake doesn’t look too happy.

Geez, it ain’t even warm!

My snake, Monty, wouldn’t buy that trick either. Th look of irritation on the snake’s face is perfect.

Try rolling it around on the floor first to get it furry. (See “Nest Heads” today.)

Good try Lio, but snakey ain’t biting.

How thoughtful

There was a Far Side with a snake family at the dinner table. Someone asked Junior to jiggle grandpa’s rat so that it appeared to be alive.

tie a string to it and drag it across the floor?

I tried to get my pet snakes to eat hamburger this way. They didn’t like it. Being that they were garter snakes, I let them go.

The snake probably realizes that eating rat meat is healthier than the bologna.

That’s one persnickety snake.
