The campaign ads for Democratic challengers will practically write themselves, as Republicans continue to bestow gifts to the Democratic opposing candidates who will be running against them. Which will be the most popular vote getters:
1. Proposal to add a 30% national sales tax (which will fall most heavily on middle-class working people who already carry a disproportionate tax burden to make up for all the tax loopholes, exemptions, tax shelters, offshore tax havens and special lower rates on investment profits they use to avoid paying taxes)
2. Calls to undermine Social Security, Medicare and Obamacare
3. Holding the economy hostage by threatening to blow up the full faith and credit of the United States by forcing a default on paying back what they already borrowed
4. Having Big Intrusive Government micromanage the medical choices of women over their own bodies
5. Demanding investigations of Biden (who cooperated fully in resolving a document issue) and his son Hunter (who never held any official government position or negotiated directly with foreign government officials) while looking the other way on Trump (who knowingly stole documents and refused to return them) or his kids (who did hold official positions in both Trump’s government and his businesses and did negotiate corrupt sweetheart deals directly with foreign heads of state while their father was president)
And by the time we get to the next election, I’m sure there will be many, many more such gifts.
How are Democrats going to fit all that into one-minute ads?
They may be gifts to Democratic opponents, but these are brutal, cruel, hostile attacks on the American people and our personal freedoms and economic security.
Of course, just because the House Republicans come up with all these ludicrous ideas doesn’t mean they stand the proverbial snowball’s chance in hell of making it past the Democratic Senate, let alone the Biden veto pen. It’s all for show.
They really need to raise the income cap on social security payments. Republicans limited it years ago to strangle it and what do you know, it’s working.
Funny you think there’s anything to be gutted !! What dems fail to tell ya is that their spending has borrowed all your social security and Medicaid moolah… that reminds me they also gave a few billions of that to the mullahs in Iran

PLEASE PLEASE Dems. Vote as a block to save the economy, stay strong, stay together. Make the Repugs stand up and vote to crash the country. THEN immediately take to the airways with incessant commercials highlighting what the Reich is doing. Make them own it and keep it in the publics face! Then when they repugs inevitably do something similar, DO IT AGAIN!!
If they strangle Medicare, how will they explain it to the Medical Industry?
Does anyone believe the Medical Industry would take a hit like that and not strike back?
‘’In the news, this morning … Yet another republikan official has suffered a massive heart attack and died. Rep. Cheap Buggar was in for his yearly checkup, when he fell ill. All attempts to revive were unsuccessful. Rep Buggar was 39 and leaves behind many illegitimate children and victims of sexual assault. This brings this months total of massive heart attacks suffered by republikans to 35. Now, … Sports.’’
. At the present time, Social Security taxes are only deducted on the first $200,600 of income for 2023. If people making more than that paid the same percentage as those below it, it would save the program for eternity. At the time SS began, the income inequality gap wasn’t such an issue. Now, with 1% of the people having as much wealth as the bottom 90%, all that would be necessary for the entire country to work for everyone is to have that 1% pay their fair share.
The GQP, extreme right wing crackpots like MTG, want to hold the country hostage on raising the debt limit for cuts to Social Security and Medicare to get spending under control. What a joke. They didn’t seem to care about the national debt when their orange grifter conman added trillions to the debt, not in small part do to their massive tax cuts for big business and the wealthy. Some how that’s different. Phony hypocrites. Entitlements need bipartisan solutions not extortion like their criminal hero god would do.

Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid don’t belong in the budget. In fact, the budge owes them.

I hope the Democrats don’t blink. Let the Republicans hang themselves. Tired of bailing them out time after time after time.
