This is how I got my house-feral to tolerate (and even request) eye drops when he had a bad infection. Ritualized activity for giving drops, follow with 3 stinky salmon treats.

Bribes.

I perk up when I hear snack bags rustling too.

The only way to get him into treatment was to give him the ’treat’ment.

To quote a commercial that’s currently airing, “One shake and cats come running.”

I shook a pill bottle the other day and both cats came running. Yeah, I gave them some treats. Spoiled!
