What one seagull will do for a bag of potato chips. There are three ways this can go. 1) One of the teachers or the principle catches Amelia in the hallway and she spends Valentine’s Day happily in detention. 2) Wallace finds her and teaches her the true meaning of the holiday – that is to use chocolate to capture Bigfoot. 3) She gets away with everything, and the other children switch over to looking for Easter eggs, as the short-attention spanned are wont to do.
I’m sure there is a heartrending back story on why Amelia is so nasty. That said, she’s young to be building up such an account with karma, hope she survives when it comes due.
Why do I have the feeling that everybody else has gone home for the day, and the teacher will thank her for cleaning up now that Valentine’s Day is over?
And to think, one day, all that mushy, and gushy stuff, hearts and cupid will hold a very special place in her heart when she meets that special someone.

I like how Seagull is shoulder-high to her in the 3rd panel.

Seagull is definitely not happy about what has transpired.

Besides Seagull getting a real part in this arc, it’s impressive that (like the Grinch story) Amelia’s speech is all in rhyme.
