The FBI appears to be very much a compromised organisation, where are the arrests for sedition on your repub politicians. We saw and heard them trying to overthrow the election yet they are sitting in the house untouched.
Once again—it was Trump’s ignoring the subpoena that caused his problems. He refused to give up the documents. If he had just turned them over, there would have been no problem. It is against the law to ignore a federal subpoena. You and I would go to jail for that.
‘A stroke of genius’: Trump could be on the receiving end of the same charges used to indict gang members
On Tuesday morning Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis will appear before a judge and make the case seeking to release a report from a special grand jury that Donald Trump attempted to tamper with the 2020 presidential election results. Next up will be whether she will take that report and pursue a criminal indictment against Trump before another grand jury.
Since republicans are a criminal gang, bust them with a RICO charge.
‘Not president anymore’: Haberman says Trump insiders stunned they can’t get Republicans to ‘show up for him’
Donald Trump is headed to Columbia, South Carolina this week to jump-start his 2024 presidential bid and, with reports that it is off to a rough start, the New York Times Maggie Haberman appeared on CNN to report that his close advisers are taken aback by how bad things are going. Over the weekend, the Washington Post reported that Trump’s close allies were working the phones trying to round up attendees in South Carolina and finding no takers.
DOJ is likely to slap Trump with ‘appeal-proof’ charge for Jan. 6: reporter
After the convictions of additional Oath Keepers on seditious conspiracy charges, calls have grown louder to prosecute former president Donald Trump for the same alleged crime for inciting the Jan. 6 insurrection. The House select committee referred the ex-president to the Department of Justice for prosecution on four charges, but The Guardian correspondent Hugo Lowell explained to MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that federal prosecutors will most likely attempt to make a narrow, and appeal-proof, case against Trump.
‘I won Georgia by a lot!’ Trump rants against Atlanta DA ahead of judicial hearing
Former President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform on Tuesday to angrily deny any wrongdoing in Georgia, and to repeatedly and falsely claim that his loss there in the 2020 presidential election was rigged. The rant comes ahead of a state judicial hearing on Tuesday, in which Fulton County DA Fani Willis will ask a judge to release the report by a special grand jury to the public about the former president and his associates’ efforts to interfere with the certification of the Georgia election results.
“My phone call to the Secretary of State of Georgia, and a second call which the Marxists, Communists, Racists, and RINOs don’t even want to talk about, were ‘PERFECT’ calls,” wrote Trump. “Many people, including lawyers for both sides, were knowingly on the line. I was protesting a RIGGED & STOLEN Election, which evidence proves it was. I won Georgia by a lot, but only needed a small number of votes from that total number. They cheated in many ways including STUFFING ballots, ALL CAUGHT LIVE ON TAPE…”
I’m still curious as to why the first batch was found on 11.2.22 and the National Archives procured them on 11.3.22, but the public wasn’t made aware until 1.9.23 when CBS found out.
Nothing will come of this in the end, but it’s true karma that demented Joe gets busted in possession of these, after calling his predecessor incredibly irresponsible for possession of classified documents. People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.
New Book Details How Donald Trump ‘Concerned’ Chief Of Staff John Kelly With His ‘Immoral’ And ‘Abnormal’ Actions
In a new afterword for Donald Trump v. The United States, Schmidt noted that Kelly was worried when former President Trump wanted to drop a nuclear bomb on North Korea— and blaming it on someone else— back in 2017.
In addition, Kelly was reportedly mediating conflicts between Melania and Ivanka Trump as they competed for influence.
The former advisor to the president/ First Daughter, 41, and First Lady, 52, would often get into fights, Schmidt told MSNBC, since Ivanka wanted to be the First Lady in a “ceremonial” sense.
FYI, Joe Biden’s Senate career began in 1973 (Insert old-age joke here). If some of those documents really are from Biden’s time in the Senate, then they could already be declassified. In the Clinton Administration, an automatic blanket declassification order was adopted – Top Secret documents are automatically declassified after 25 years unless they are reviewed by the agency that created them, and they determine the need for longer classification.
“Does Coco Chow have anything to do with Joe Biden’s Classified Documents being sent and stored in Chinatown?” Trump posted. “Her husband, the Old Broken Crow, is VERY close to Biden, the Democrats, and, of course, China. He gives them all whatever they want!”
For those not versed in Trump-speak, “Coco Chow” is Trump’s nickname for Elaine Chao, who was the Secretary of Transportation for the majority of Trump’s presidency, until she resigned after the January 6 riot. “Old Broken Crow” is Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the Senate Minority Leader, who is married to Chao.
Aside from the racist “Coco Chow” nickname, there is no reason to believe that the sitting Secretary of Transportation would have anything to do with the placement of documents from the previous presidential administration.
Furthermore, Chao, who is Taiwanese-American, is not Chinese, nor is she an agent of the Chinese government. (But if she were, Trump apparently had no issue appointing her to his Cabinet and keeping her there for nearly four years.)
As for Chinatown, it is a neighborhood in Washington only blocks away from the White House, and it is not the slightest bit out of the ordinary for an office in that area to be used for such purposes.
Chinatown is not part of China, it is not the Chinese embassy, nor is it controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.
On Sunday, Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo talked about the Daily Mail story, while emphasizing both the word “Chinatown” and the name of the Biden aide, Kathy Chung, who was responsible for overseeing the moving of the documents, adding on “we do not know if she was… reporting back to the Chinese Communist Party.”
Perhaps needless to say, there is absolutely no evidence that Chung, who is Korean-American, is “reporting back to the Chinese Communist Party.”
“It’s like Trump showed up to that funeral like, ’Diamond’s dead, but I’m gonna bury Silk,’” Sykes mocked. “‘Oh yeah, there’s room for two in that casket.’ I mean, come on. To say you know Diamond but don’t know Silk is wild because they’re always together. That’s like saying, ‘I know Bert, but I never heard of this Ernie fella.’”
That said, Sykes wasn’t exactly surprised by Trump’s words. According to the comedian, he probably conflates Black women all the time.
“Knowing Trump, he probably only has room for one Black woman in his brain at a time. If he turns on the TV right now, he’ll be like, ‘Wow, Diamond’s hosting ‘The Daily Show!’ You know, a week ago, she was dead, but thanks to me, she’s risen!’”
If Trump’s people had found those documents and voluntarily turned them in, yes, Trump would be cleared right now. But that’s not what happened, and there is no comparison.
He took them purposely. He didn’t turn them in. He didn’t return them on request. He didn’t turn them in after a court order. He lied about declassifying them. He insisted they were his. He demanded their return after the FBI had to go in and get them.
There is—literally—zero overlap between the two situations. None.
