Don’t worry Sally. The masons will come and fix your old school. They will leave no bricks un-laid. And the mortarboards will be back in force.

Judging from its construction, I would’ve taken the school to have been an old timer, too. Though the color of the bricks was a bit newer than the old red brick structures.

I wonder how a brick that hasn’t got very good locomotion, (he doesn’t have any legs to walk or he isn’t round to roll like a rolling stone) can know about another brick’s foundation clear across town? Do they have some kind if mind reading ESP?

The other day, someone asked where he was getting the bricks on “Cleats”. I said “the school in ‘Peanuts’”. I had no idea how right I was…

They have to walk clear across town? Shouldn’t the school district bus them?

If they ever tore down our old grammar school, a lot of little critters would lose their home. We boys used to do target practice on the spiders that came up from the drains in the urinals.

Walk?? Kids today can’t walk a block to school. It would hurt their dignity.

The roof of the junior high I attended in the ’50s collapsed the year after we moved out of it. It was supposed to be torn down to make way for a new one, but an earthquake started the job early.

Oof, she’s beating a suicide victim while they’re down. I mean, I’d get it if they died, resentment is understandable, but it’s probably not a good thing to do for such victims who survive the attempt.

Last known time I went to Clallam County, Washington where I was born and stayed until first grade, the school building still stands, but remains vacant since 2005 (two years after I graduated high school).

I did that a lot in elementary school. Not walk clear across town. Change schools. Though in my case it was called moving.
