It truly is amazing watching repug fauxrage over Paul Whelan, a man they’d never heard of until he could be used as a cudgel against Biden and Griner.

And by “amazing,” I mean utterly predictable.

Let’s see. The economy: Inflation is easing, gas prices are going down, unemployment is low and people are shopping like there are drunken sailors on leave. If you’re going to knock Biden for things going south you have to give him credit for things improving.

Foreign policy: The Biden Administration(and it was Biden who did this) forged a coalition with our European allies to stop Russian aggression cold. Now NATO is stronger, the Russians have proven that they are a gas station with nukes and China is wondering whether invading Taiwan is a really good idea. Score one for team Biden.

The Border “crisis” has been a problem for the last 5 presidents, none of whom were able to fix it. This primarily because the racist, nativist core of the Republican base eats this stuff up like candy. Thus, the people who they elect to Congress refused to work out a plan with Democrats that could fix it. Presidents don’t make law, the enforce it and the Biden Administration has been doing that.

Griner: so just leave her to rot in a Russian gulag? We’re not trading Pokemon cards here. IT’s people’s lives.

The merchant was in an American prison and not one of the bad ones. He was out in six years anyway and sure they got whatever info out of him they needed.
