Fact of the matter is, in 2008, Joe Biden had a net worth of about $300,000. He had never even tried to capitalize on his Senate Career.

After he left the Vice Presidency in 2017, he earned a few million with books and speaking engagements, but certainly nothing out of the ordinary for a former VP.

His son Hunter was certainly a different sort, and it seems likely that he tried to capitalize on his dad’s position. But there is no evidence that that Joe Biden ever exerted any inappropriate influence on Hunter’s behalf.

Instead, we are fed a bunch of tawdry stories about the son, with the teller hoping that they will reflect badly on the father. Maybe in another place and time this story would have been effective, but today, with the populace inured to official malfeasance of the first order, this tale is ho-hum at best.

In Henry’s view, “The Media” does not include Fox “news”, nor the entire right wing media structure.
