This seems like a cartoon that would have run in the 1930s opposing retirement.

I actually like to do that!

Well, having too much time on your hands and watching the clock change time is better than having too much time on your hands and watching every single thing your neighbor does and constantly bothering them on a daily basis.

I suppose what I am saying is, it’s nice that Ben has a hobby……

The little dot that indicates the change from AM to PM deserves a celebratory toast. Every day.

At my age, those clocks only serve to remind me that my life is also flashing away.

He could see all 4 digits change going from 9:59 to 10:00.

It’s always exciting when the Odometer in the car changes to another 1000 miles.

I watched clock never changes

I’m retired and busy all the time (no, not watching clocks change, grass grow, or paint dry… actual activities)

Guess he doesn’t know about gocomics.

When I was a kid we had a digital clock made of plastic dials with the numbers painted on them, that turned mechanically just like a car odometer (I don’t think LED had been invented yet!) I used to like to hang around just before the “turn” of an hour to watch all the dials turn.

The most exciting thing about the World Cup is watching the clock.

At least it’s not blinking 12:00

I’m another retiree who would love to have enough time to see what time it is. Some of my friends have gotten part time jobs to escape all the stuff people expect it them since they “are retired and have nothing to do”

I’m retired and was only that bored (or boring) at work. Too busy now.

I’ve been retired for some 22 years, and my days are completely filled and that includes the weekends.

I just want a clock that one can set by entering the time one wants. I stand there at night with my finger on 2 buttons (one is alarm and one is hour) and hold the buttons hoping to actually stop at the correct hour and then repeat the process with the alarm and minutes button to set it for the morning. There are many nights it can take me well over 5 minutes and several trips around the day to finally get it set for the intended time.

One thing I did learn many years ago when still working is to have a 24 hour clock. No more getting up several times to see if was correctly set for, say, 9 am and NOT 9 pm. My current clock is set to a 24 hour clock and if it is set for 9 – I know that it is 9 am as 9 pm would 21.
