    Rall surely knows better. These programs aren’t about having a work force that exactly matches every statistic you can think of, no matter what. They’re about evening things up for folks who have traditionally be discriminated against.

    Not every checkmark can be hit or should be hit

    Companies will still have to look at competency

    How about libertarians, anarchists, syndicalists, fascists, autistic people, furries, homeless . . .

    Diversity goes in but singularity of slant and bias comes out?

    There is a huge difference between social programs (under capitalism) and outright socialism (state control of the economy and media), let’s not confuse the two.

    As an older white male yourself, this looks rather close to being self-serving, don’t you think, Mr. Rall?

    Diversity and inclusion are moving targets. People of color, women, and LGBTQ+ people have been hammered in the workplace for a LONG time. Give them a little time to catch up!

    Mr. Rall. I have to wonder if you know what Socialism is if you think 40% of Americans are Socialists. You’re sounding like Henry Payne here.

    In other words: screw Blacks and gay people! Hire 60-year-old 6th-grade-dropout murderers to write the news!

    Another day when we wonder what color the sky is on Rall’s planet.

    If social security and Medicare are socialist then more than 40% of Americans are socialist.

    40%?

    Everyone who cashes a Social Security check, a welfare check, uses Medicare or Medicaid, drives on a public road, goes to a public school, enjoys the benefits of law enforcement and fire departments, goes to a public hospital, collects disability or unemployment, works in civil service or serves in the military…the list is nearly endless.

    I’d love to see an example of someone who has NOT participated in socialism in this country. And Americans aren’t even all that good at it

    Years ago, without any such diversity rules, some friends with a tiny firm in Denmark put an ad in the paper for a secretary-receptionist… “more than 40 years old”.

    “Jan. 6 Committee Considering [emph. added] Criminal Referrals for Trump and 4 Others — Report

    “The committee’s final report will include a “public presentation” Committee Chair Bennie Thompson said.

    ….

    “In addition to a possible [emph. added] criminal referral for Trump (based on his speech and other actions he took to stay in the White House), the committee is considering referrals for:

    - Mark Meadows, Trump’s former White House chief of staff;

    - Trump election lawyer John Eastman, who helped craft the plan to use fake Electoral College electors to disrupt the certification of the 2020 election;

    - Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s former personal lawyer who, along with other Trump campaign officials, coordinated the fake electors plot;

    - and former DOJ official Jeffrey Clark, whom Trump had wanted to install as head of the department so that it would pursue unfounded claims of election fraud."

    Okay, is anyone surprised?
