I call BS on this. For the first time in 30 years, labor has ground to stand on. They deserve their day. After all, business owners have had their pay day for the last 30 years.

Who are YOU to say they got “enough”?

So, this attack on unions means what? Do you want to fire them for striking like the air traffic controllers in 1981?

I see Ramirez has again resorted to the half-baked information touted by Fox Propaganda.

Rail workers don’t get paid sick leave and therefore need to schedule it. That’s a problem.

bkincaid, as always, takes up the cause for the rich union leaders and ignores the results of a railroad strike on the American people.

The National Education Association is the largest workers union in American, with over 3 million members.

The NEA President, Becky Pringle, is a Pennsylvania middle school science teacher.

Summer of 2020, down to the hall to cast my union vote and pick up some Biden/Harris yard signs, and one of my brothers says ‘what are you doing… gonna throw those in the dumpster?’.

I swear, if people who work for a living felt as strongly about their own job as they do about who they hate, wage-slavery would be at an end.

It’s OK for lawyers, ball-players, actors, politicians, internet influencers [?], criminals, judges, preachers, car salespeople, t.v. announcers, cartoonists, etc., etc. — to earn a decent wage. Rank-and-file citizens who desperately need to earn a decent slice of our American pie are not eligible.

We were all heroes for sticking to our jobs during the pandemic whilst the white collars stayed home. We were all heroes for supporting and supplying the bodies for the various wars rich people get richer from. We were all heroes for sacrificing and sending our kids to college to qualify for the American Dream — which they still don’t.

10% of US own the other 90% — but let anyone in the 90% ‘hero’ class complain or negotiate, and they become outcast troublemakers that aren’t sufficiently grateful to their betters. If you want to be a company slave, fine — just get off my back when I want to break free.

Eliminate the bargaining. Pay hourly workers a % of Top executives pay. The executives get a raise, everybody else does, too. Sounds fair.

For too many who consistently vote GOP and are workers like the RR folks, I’ll never understand why the fear mongering spread by the right Trumps their own economic interest. Lift people up, or race to the bottom?

But, but, Brandon just broke his arm patting himself on the back for solving the railroad labor crises! So I guess it was the fault of Congress all along?

hmmm…both sides are delusional if they actually believe the industry will crumble without them…don’t be fooled, any union wage gain is matched for management…what happens to the suppliers and customers…suppliers will be pressured with price concessions…shippers will be faced with service disruption which means the consumers get to take it in the groin with higher prices and poor service…

Robots and automation are on the way. This just increased the speed in which they will arrive. Just like the auto industry, you shot yourselves in the foot.

Ramirez figures that since he can churn out a comic when he’s got a cold, sick railroad workers who can’t get their backsides out to the yard & work a 12 hour shift deserve to get fired. That’s Republican logic for you.

When labor does it, it’s a “robbery.” When management does it, it’s “cost-cutting,” “good fiscal management,” etc.

Looks like the guy holding the gun represents rail stockholders and investors. Now you can bet they are praying for reagan to come back from the grave and fire them all. Anti worker is anti American.

The left wing apologists for Union tyranny are posting in ignorance or are deliberately lying due to their ideology. Easy enough to do a search for railway wages and salaries. Looks like the lowest starting salary is around $54k. Not bad for an 18 year old high school graduate.

It’s good that the downtrodden railroad companies who are constantly vulnerable to train robberies have someone like Ramirez to explain their side of things — by attacking the rich, greedy unions, of course.

And the right wing commenters who believe train workers should NOT get sick leave, even minimal days because that might cut into company profits and management will endure extreme suffering as a result.

Failing that, those same right wingers who were absolutely beside themselves about inflation before the election are salivating over the possibility of a strike, with the effects on supply chains and, uh, inflation. They want that, of course, so they can Blame Biden.

Patriotism at its finest.

Sick leave and vacation (personal) days must always be separate for employees with physical job requirements. That is my vote.

Once again the loony lefties can’t help but support anything that hurts all of America. Why am I not surprised, labor unions are a parasitic waste of time. Maybe we can get the millions of illegals to drive our freight trains for $18 an hour.

Well, Biden and the Democrats just screwed over railroad workers. The union is PIIIIIIIISSED and they say it will have an effect in the next election… excuse me, while I laugh… by 2024, it will be water under the bridge, the union members will continue to vote Democrat and the Democrats know it. They can’t help it… It’s like a moth to flame.
