Yikes! Stef should have just closed her mouth after saying “I’m Sorry”

Well, at last the repeats are over. I wonder where Bets has been? She would have been the better choice to be there, since she lived there over the summer.

So will someone or something be inside the Manse or will it all be okay?

Last we saw our intrepid quartet were headed for the Manse loaded for bear! Now we see a repeat of the not-the-apology.

Baby steps indeed. At least she’s not returned to the cheer outfit. What kinds of insults will she continue to heap on Tiff before Dez gives up on her? Or will Tiff eventually explode!

What’s there to see in the manse that hasn’t already been shown in Bets’ videio? Or has Greg forgot about that already?

Reminds me of the substitute teacher who told an entire 4th grade class there was no Santa Claus. Kids go home crying, parents start calling the school, principal chews teacher out. Teacher apologizes for “assuming they were mature enough to handle the truth.”

I’m with Tiff here. I thought she was being supportive but .. that’s not an apology. That’s a “not guilty” when Tiff goes to trial for assault.

it looks like Dez has been giving Stef a little ‘talking to’. Dez perhaps got an agreement from Stef that she would apologize. Stef uses the words “I’m sorry” but the tone and context are not there.

Tiff is communicating so much without words in panel 3. How did Stef get the idea that she was invited to the manse, I wonder?

What happened to the “I’m sorry I accused you of stealing my ring”?

Ok, I know many possible candidates has been made for Tiff significant other. But how about Stef? Tiff feels about her, and strongly. Ok not exactly love at the moment but…

Baby steps? More like one step forward, two steps back! I wonder what looong speech Dez and Bets must have made to make Stef understand that she had to apologize to Tiffany. I don’t think she would ever have gotten there by herself.

A nonpology

I don’t like people who can’t understand that THEY caused someone to be upset and own up to it and apologize. “I’m sorry, Tiffany. I shouldn’t have accused you. I was wrong.” That’s an apology. And I feel like I underestimated Stef’s mindset, I thought she was just an inconsiderate airhead without aiming to be; but the fact that she is gaslighting Tiffany to think her reaction to being accused should be, “You’re right, Stef, I did overreact.” After Stef threatened to press charges and have Tiffany arrested. THEN on top of all that Stef is giddy about seeing Tiffany’s mansion, like she’ll be allowed to stay there like they’re besties or something. Sorry, shoog, you are not owed a second chance after that non-apology. I know it won’t happen because “comic strip” but this should be when Tiffany says, “Until I get a real apology, kindly keep out of my house.”

Tiffany better punch Dez with the good arm, before she gets walked on any further by Stef!

Hey Tiff, here’s an idea: maybe you could, I dunno, not let her in your house? And maybe stop hanging out with Dez considering all the terrible advice she gives?

Man, remember when Tiffany used to have a spine? I don’t know why Greg has this fetish for his protagonists letting themselves get walked all over.

If they did move into the mansion, and something goes missing, the shoe may be in the other foot with Tiffany blaming Steph. This story can go in so many directions! ;-)

Steph will want to move in with Tiffany now. And bring her boyfriend with her.

What Stef said reminds me of something I said to my sister in law, years ago just to keep peace in the family. I regretfully say, I’m sorry. She and my family thought it was sincere and we all moved on.

“I’m sorry you got upset by my false accusation rather than sorry I falsely accused.”

And my beloved Tiffany let her live!!

Was watching The View today. Clay Aiken and Peabo Bryson performed a Christmas duet. Did Aiken appear in this strip about 20 years ago?

No, Dez, a non-apology is not a baby step. It’s not any kind of a step, unless it’s a step backwards.

Tiff should not even let Stef enter her house. And if Stef starts assuming she can move in with Tiff, and Dez starts trying to manipulate Tiff into letting Stef move into the manse with her, then Tiff should punch Stef.

Then she should punch Dez. And then Stef again.

Stef will have to leave soon, anyway – she can only go so long without having Kippy punch her ticket.

Genuinely asking, what constitutes a “real” apology? I think we can all agree that Steff’s isn’t it, but I’ve also seen people apologize for things beyond there control to keep peace, achieve there goals, take responsibility for a action they didn’t commit etc. and simply over say “sorry” out of habit (quite common with females, sorry!). How is Steff supposed to “make this right” or what chainge should she make going forward? Just trust Tiff & friends implicitly if they say it wasn’t them (sounds like a Shaggy song:)? Not trust Tiff to watch her valuables? Not accuse anyone when her stuff goes missing & she really can’t find it?

I was surprised and sort of happy to see the repeats of the wedding. I hadn’t realized how much of it I missed. It was lovely. But……Luann’s dress was the ugliest thing I have ever seen. BAR NONE!!!!!

Stef is really nothing more than a self-centered brat! What she said, in NO way implies any true sort of an apology. I do hope though that Tiff takes the higher road and let’s it all move on. Tiff DOES have her faults and foibles, but basically, she is a far better person than that bumptious, over-sexed, cheering bomb!!!!!

Have any of you noticed that Tiff is STILL in a sling??? During the time she has been “laid up” I BROKE me ankle. It is now COMPLETELY healed and I have no cast or brace on it at all. Give it up Tiff!!!!

I expected that….god, I hate this kid….I shouldn’t wish for it, but she needs to experience something REALLY traumatic to get her to face reality. Most of the other cast members did on some level or another. It’s Stef’s turn.

I so wanted this storyline to be over.

Another example of Greg’s subtle attack on Tiffany. Panel No. 2: jaw lines. Steff looks like she just stepped off the runway in a fashion show. Tiff looks like she just stepped out of line at a donut shop.

I still think it was Stef that broke into the mansion to look for her ring.

How is that Baby Steps? All she did was reenforce her current attitude. She is a self-centered person that has no empathy.

Stef needs to learn how to apologize. Baby steps are tiny forms of progress, what stef is doing is blaming tiff for being accused.

I know i am late in posting since I went to bed early but…Stef only gave a partial apology. She has to also apologize for being disrespectful regarding her Kip time, locking Tiff out. Yep, I was right that Stef never has been to the manse. In her mind, she is saying “What? She grew up in this and moved to a tiny dorm room. Let’s see what is wrong with this manse. Is it haunted? Was someone murdered here? Let’s see if the evil spirit comes out and tries to scare me.”

Stef could get eaten by a Yeti, and I would not, in the least, be sad to see her gone!
