Mr Bok probably doesn’t know this, but the Pilgrims were in fact illegal and undocumented. Whatever you may think about the British crown handing out pieces of other people’s country, the Pilgrims had secured a perfectly legal “patent” to settle in Virginia. I don’t know how they wound up on Cape Cod instead, but they had no legal right to be there.
