There is only one of the Bigfoot species left alive today. But he had to have a daddy and a grandfather some time in the past. It would be interesting to study the differences between the modern and ancient Bigfoot prints.
off the west coast of England, there are footprints persevered in the coastal land that is believed to go back to the neolithic times. a path followed by humans millennia ago, plus ca change plus ca le mem chose
Great idea, Red. And throw a few bits of broken pottery in the big hole and bits of bone in the small holes and presto, you have an ancient civilization.
Put your human foot prints in the same path, like your walked with the critter. The future will make the assumption your were tracking your prey. Actually it was just a nice day and you went for a stroll with your pet dinosaur. (The Flintstones were a fact! Or so ‘they’ say on overnight radio.)

Well that prank failed! We today, don’t believe dinosaurs and man lived together at the same time.

Pretty sure that human footprints near dinosaur tracks will do the trick quite nicely.

But if you dig it in the dirt with a shovel, it won’t stay there. You’d need to chisel it in stone.
