That reminds me of scenes from Dune or Flesh Gordon.

If management would be smart enough to learn and understand their people’s mission, then there would be respect; it is not a on demand emotion, it is developed over time.

But wait! Not forgets to reads her cookie consent notice before accepting them cookies!

Never understood the need for donuts with every meeting. Most companies here will have meetings, where if you’re lucky, coffee will be provided, but most times, you just bring your own coffee. Once in awhile, there might be cake if there’s something to celebrate.

For all we know, there could be a mousetrap in that jar.

I want to go to a meeting. somebody invite me!

The cookies are all stale, but nobody ever found that out.

Is that cookie jar a pop culture thing I don’t get? Everyone around the table looks like they know what’s in it.

And, that is another advantage to being retired . . . no more meetings.

The two main advantages are: 1. More time to do the things I want to do instead of the things I have to do, and 2. About 80% less stress. The disadvantage, and it’s a big one, I had to get old to do it.

I’d be afraid of what might be in the jar

Schrodinger’s cookie jar. You won’t know if the cookies are or are not yummy until you place your hand in the jar and pull one out. But I wouldn’t rule out the mouse trap in this situation.

Anyone notice that Rita’s water bottle has no reflection?…

My take on this – yes, you can put your hand in the jar and pull out a yummy cookie. She never said you get to eat it yourself. (You probably have to give it back to Rita. After all, doesn’t she get the credit for all the good ideas that would be presented?)

This is very brilliant and slightly evil. Rita has combined her experience of mother and grandmother with her work, hitting everyone in an unconscious sweet spot. This time she won.

Donuts and other similar goods from the local bakery were usually the only enjoyable things about meetings. Of course there’s always the “Tired of working? Call a meeting!” (I think there may have been more to that, but I can’t remember for sure).

I worked for a company that actually had a meeting about how to have a meeting!
