Maybe spend some of the time while you are there LEARNING something instead of fantasizing prison escape plans for school.

Don’t forget Tuesday, November 8, 2022. In the Philadelphia area, many schools close for Election Day. That’s because many schools are used for polling places.

After Christmas vacation, there is President’s Day. Also MLK Day. That should get him to Spring Break.

I proposed to my school district that we start the school year off on the first Monday after NEW Year’s and go to the first Monday before Halloween. Nothing gets done between Halloween and New Year’s. Because we are near Camp Lejune we get Veterans Day off. Then we have three days at Thanksgiving, two or three weeks until Christmas, the winter break. Winter break usually starts the Monday before Christmas and goes until the first Monday after New Years. Summer is hot and miserable. No pools nearby. Days are usually a degree or two below 100 and about 98% humidity. The schools have air conditioning. The students’ housing, not so much.

I wonder if they’ll get off on the 28th as well? We never got it at my catholic school in Pittsburgh but I had a lot of friends that got off for the first day of buck season. (Of course, now that they changed opening to Saturday, it might not be a thing.)

You’d think by now teachers would make this slacker sit in the front row. Also how badly must his back hurt by now?

Sunny didn’t know when Veterans Day is? Out of character for her. School should teach about the armistice and Armistice Day on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
