George ! Just go with the flow !

I’m quite content with what we have. Don’t need to compete with others. No need for a new couch or car just because the neighbors bought one. Half of the house is furnished with second or third hand items anyway, revamped by yours truly. Never bought a new car either, always secondhand, even though we could buy a new one now, we don’t see the point in spending that much money when we can buy a used car that will last for a long time for half the price.

One thousand bonus points if you can name the person who coined the term “conspicuous consumption.”

All affluence is imaginary. Well, it is for me.

Because humans are too greedy to cherish what they already have.

All the people in this county are wealthy. I live among the effluent.

An insanity that drives people who earn 6 figures to live paycheck to paycheck!!

I blame evolution… greed is what made us move to a bigger tree…

“Imagined Affluence” is how the banks trick you into a life of subservient indebtedness…

The card’s reserves are as dry as a kid’s gas tank and they are living on card vapors.

For a moment I thought our favorite dinosaur was going to open up a new business.

some of us older seasoned retired folks have ditched a lot of the “stuff” we have and are living as nomads. So much to see over so much to have.

Poor George, he’s beginning to understand the real world :(

Sadly true.

While TPOT politicians insist it will all go away if we share what we have..

And someday someone will make a movie about the part social media (looking at YOU, Zuckerberg et al) played in all this, but it will be so gruesome that no one will be able to watch it.
