Many of the candidates have scrubbed their web sites of any mention of a total ban. They say it should be left up to each state until they impose a national ban. So who is tying themselves in knots here?
Every candidate has a personal position… and a public position. What I’ve noticed is that the two positions for the moderate to liberal ones mostly agree, or nearly. And the ones on the right typically lie about it, or have “personal exceptions”.
There exists in America, one party which uses the issue of abortion as leverage.
It’s not the Democrats.
Democrats merely believe in equal rights for all, including the right to bodily autonomy.
It’s not the Democrats’ fault that Republicans have disposed of their own leverage by coming out against choice to the extent that their partisan scrotus has struck down settled law protecting choice and bodily autonomy.
Not to mention outing themselves as liars by revealing that they do in fact want anti-choice laws enacted at the federal level! And as we already knew, all that “state’s rights” noise was just a bunch of BS!
Goodwyn’s spreading the BS again. There are already limits on third trimester abortions; there always have been. Allowing women to chose what happens to their own body is the primary goal. If a woman wants an abortion, the government has no say in that; neither do nosy, self-righteous religious zealots who would spend their time better tending their own indiscretions.
I don’t recall a similar cartoon re Trump who least flip flow was to change parties to get elected! Biden has been consistently Pro Life. Legal Definitions of when life begins have changed over time long with a lot of other things.
What bullsh!t. Show us a doctor who would perform an abortion the day before birth? No one advocates abortion up to birth. The closest they come is to say that the choice of terminating a pregnancy throughout that pregnancy should be between a woman and her doctor, not a politician.
Asking a question that tries to simplify and incredibly complex issue… is dishonest or ignorant.
That’s one of the biggest problems with the mindset of political extremists. They can’t accept that life is complicated. They want simple black and white morality and ethics. They want rules that are easy to follow and enforce. They don’t want to think.
Limits on abortion should depend on the circumstances.
Sadly, cruel Conservative Republican laws make doctors consult lawyers about private medical choices involving women, instead of doing what is necessary for the woman’s health and mental well being.
Such projection. Which Democrats have change positions during the race? The fact that Republicans all over the country are doing so has been widely reported.

The Hershel Walker situation proves that Republicans don’t really care about abortion. They just want power

Delivering a stillborn is not an abortion since the baby is already dead.
