Clean the kitchen a bit… play a solitaire game… scoop cat box… play a different game… get ready for work… check GoComics… why am I not getting anything really done? It’s incomprehensible…
I spend some time on Words with Friends, but, then, I’m retired. And, I have yet to have field trip kids traipsing through my house. I like the plaque that says ‘My house was clean yesterday, you should have been here then’ ~~ or putting Get Well cards on the mantle and apologizing for the house being messy because you’ve been sick.
And then, once you get started on the actual cleaning, you will find a million side tasks to pull you away and not complete any of them . . . at least that’s how it goes for me . . .
“anyone can do any amount of work, provided it isn’t the work he is supposed to be doing at that moment.” – American humorist, Robert Benchley, in his great essay How to Get Things Done. It is worth procrastinating and looking up his essay on how he tackles getting five things done …

10 mental minutes break. Because these are equal to 60 minutes in the real world (if not more)

Whatever happened to Scrabble? I saw my parents play Scrabble against each other when I was a wee lad on their iPads
