For all New Readers To Ten Cats, firstly welcome to the strip, and for all existing readers who sometimes struggle to identify who’s who in the comic, I put together a panel, from a GH original, with all their names on. Also for reference, Lily, Jellybean, and Bluebell, are the girls (Don’t upset Lily, you’ll regret it!).

You may like to use GC helper (Coded by Neil Wick who posts on Dick Tracy) to help with the un-nesting of replies to Comments, and also the loading of links/pictures etc. so you don’t have to copy/paste each one seperately into the address bar to view. Neither of these happen automatically due to the changes made to the page coding some time ago.

Drag the link of each one you wish to use to your Bookmark bar.

GC Replies un-nests all the replies, but you need to hit the “View the comments” button, or click on the “Show All Comments” link first to un-nest all of them.

GC Links shows the links as active links. Pictures (.jpg, .gif, .png, .bmp) will show as pictures directly on the page. Again you will have needed to have hit the “View the comments” button, or clicked on the “Show All Comments” link first to apply this patch to the links in any replies.

Save Strip allows you to right click on the strip and “Save As”. to save the strip to your computer, the current formatting of the site disables the “Save Image” function in the ‘Right-Click’ menu.

GC Helper will work on all GC comics, not just this one..

To get text formatted on seperate lines like this you have to strike the “Return” key Twice! to create the line break, not once.

Daughter and I went on a road trip to Pahrump today. She found an on line auction and bid on some things. She ended up winning 8 LOTS of stuff. Each lot was multiple boxes of dishes, glasses, vases, and stuff. Stuff, random stuff. Pictures, needlework, kitchen things, stuff. We drove 45 miles out to get them and 45 miles back, and then had to unload and sort. The Suv was full to the ceiling. Paid $51.22, and probably have $300 worth to sell!. I’m pooped, though.

I got curious so I googled it. Stuff happened on August 8, but no big events on August 8, 1544. Some people born that day and other people died that day, but there were no big earth-shaking events. But at least he got the date right!

NATIONAL HOMEMADE COOKIES DAY. If I had known this, maybe I would have baked cookies yesterday. Instead, I baked brownies.

NATIONAL PUMPKIN SPICE DAY. I guess pumpkin spice is okay, but it’s a bit overdone these days.

Chesney is praising our sweet little This-Side-Up!!

My grandson was born on August 8th ~~ a few years (centuries) after 1544.

He remembered that August 32, 1544 wasn’t a date, right?

Years ago I worked with Developmentally Disabled adults in their own homes/apartments. One gentlemen could tell you the weather on any date he had been alive, supposedly they were all correct (at least for his location at the time) too. He could hold a conversation and was very sweet, and quite high functioning in many ways, however was unable to complete even the simplest tasks without constant assistance.

Thoughts and prayers for Queen, she has been struck down with mysterious pain in her knees and shoulder. Dr’s. can’t find anything overtly wrong and prescription painkillers don’t help. The ER ruled out blood clots, but beyond that…?

So what did happen on August 8th, 1544? I suppose they’ll figure that out later. At least Chesney’s not being mean to Annie for once. On another note, saw ten robins, five dragonflies, two juncos, and a caterpillar while out walking today.
