Payne apparently isn’t smart enough to realize that climate change has directly led to the inflation he’s complaining about, along with the war trump’s man-crush started in Ukraine.
A lot of Florida Republicans are going to need socialism this weekend. But I live in a state that doesn’t have hurricanes so why should my money be used in Florida?!? Didn’t they KNOW hurricanes happen in Florida when they chose to live there? Why don’t they have insurance?
Remember when Florida Senator Marco Rubio voted against aid to recover from Superstorm Sandy? The entire Northeast remembers. And they’ll help anyway because they’re not the sort of a/holes to let others suffer because their leaders want to make political points with people’s lives.
Bush bungled Katrina. After that, every disaster got politicized. Republicans tried like hell to invent a “Katrina” moment for Obama. All because politics for them have devolved so much that petty revenge and optics matter more than actual human lives.
Now we have the daily disasters that are tRump and the GQP.
President Biden has neither said nor implied anything downplaying this hurricane. Instead he has done everything in his power to assist the state of Florida, despite the actions of its idiot governor. Just Payne Lies.
Florida will stand-up brush themself off dry out and Chive On. Americans are in general a tough bunch. It’s the small number of us that never think to first look to the end of their arm for a helping hand. Sadly, some sub-sets have never had to boot-strap themselves rather than wait for helpful government rescuers to haul them off a roof. Stay Strong Florida and help those 10’s of thousands new residents that are experiencing their first Hurricane.
Lefty Gaia worshippers and climate change alarmists, whinging and going nuts over Ian. This has been a very low year regarding major storms and hurricanes. NOAA and other major weather agencies downgraded the predicted number of storms and hurricanes for this year TWICE. Ian is the first to make landfall on American soil so far but it’s nowhere near the most powerful over the last 50 years. Yeah, it’s bad but we’ve dealt with this so many times before.

The United States absolutely CANNOT provide aid or assistance to Florida.
I mean, where will we get the money to pay for it?

^The old “pull themselves up by their bootstraps” argument? Really? From this:

Biden set EXACTLY the correct tone saying aid is coming. Do you think those who are impacted will reject it and take your advice?

I’m pretty sure DeSantis will refuse any and all federal aid.
I mean, getting aid from The Government is socialist, which is exactly the same as communist.
And fascist.
.
There are some principles that just cannot be sacrificed, right?
