The visuals of traffic lined up for miles and miles at every available border crossing and the crowds at the airport should have made Putin weep for joy – 20 or 30 years ago the average Russian couldn’t even afford a car or a plane ticket, and now, here they are displaying their obvious wealth – fleeing their country – he SHOULD be proud – but he’s probably not, given that all those people are fleeing HIM!
Oh well, he should be content knowing that here in America, at least the Republican party still loves him.
Putin never mastered the leadership skill of getting people to want to achieve his objectives. Anyone can attempt to force cooperation through threat and intimidation from his perch, but it will never last. Same for trying to get his neighbor states to want to be part of his neo-USSR. Instead he chooses the path of threat and intimidation. He will never get what he desires before death due to his leadership incompetence.
What scares me most is that these pathetic little men come to power and do their damage against humanity for years and years until eventually being removed from the scene either by death or prosecution. There seems to be no end in sight. I think the great question is if our species is capable of overcoming these tyrants or if we will bleed away until we are all gone.
It’s too bad that Russia doesn’t share a land border with the US. If it did, the protesters could all come and buy guns — with no background checks, and better than what the Russian military has — and then return home to renew their protests.
From the cartoon, everyone including many of Putin’s troops are tired of all this war foolishness and are starting to see that this is what HE wants! He’s not doing it for the sake and love of Russia!
