I hope that the “Inc.” stands for “incarcerated”

His businesses may be crippled in New York state, effectively given the death sentence if convicted of the civil charges brought by the state Attorney General. However, Trump Enterprises owns abundant resources in other states and nations and will continue to operate.

Would be nice to see TFG in the doghouse as seen by the majority of “Republicans” not just the majority of the public.

That’s all he is, a tiny little squeak behind a big wall.

The facade of the Trumpian Enterprise has always been much more impressive than the “reality”, within – Trump, for all his bluster, has NEVER been more than an unscrupulous “millionaire” and he was that only because his Father was a millionaire and left the bulk of his estate to Donnie John.

For all his obfuscation (see the list of charges from the New York State attorney general), Trump has NEVER been a particularly successful businessman, losing money even while attempting to run a New Jersey casino – it takes a special type of incompetence to fail at running a gambling house.

He’s a con man, not a business man. Nor is he even a CEO of any scope – the Organization is about twenty people, mostly family members and lawyers.

He blew through hundreds of millions of dollars his father made in real estate, investing in bad businesses and negotiating badly. One of his few sources of income was money laundering for the Mob, and he managed to kill a casino while doing so.

He was saved by his TV show, which paid him actual money and rebuilt his “reputation” – such as it was, New Yorkers knew better – as a rich and successful businessman. He didn’t even use his famous catchphrase on the actual people, because he was apparently too cowardly to do that; it was filmed in advance.

His “business” then and since has been to license his name to other people’s buildings, and make sure his share is guaranteed up front, so when a bad business fails, he walks away with cash. Staying famous – and indeed, running for president – was all part of that plan, to sucker people into thinking that his name actually had value. This is not a business, this is a confidence game.

Then he discovered the ultimate grift, by accident, of course, since he’s not really very clever: politics. People will just GIVE you money because you ask for it! And you can take advantage of the office for more money, especially as the rest of your party feels compelled to cover for you to save themselves and their own organization! And as long as you are in office, people are reluctant to indict you because THEY respect the office if not the person in it!

That’s why he is desperate to stay president – to avoid conviction, and to stay on the money train that may actually save his collapsing “business,” at least until New York dissolves the TO for good.
