This is really dishonest. They weren’t deported. That’s what Abbott and DeSantis did. The asylum applicants (who are in the US legally) were dropped off on an island with no provisions and no warning. The natives on Martha’s Vineyard took them in and cared for them until the Republican governor of Massachusetts could arrange for better living conditions and care on a state-run military base.

They’re victims of state-sponsored human trafficking.

This is exactly what happened, paid for with my tax dollars by the military national guard.

Migrants make the treacherous journey just to survive and cross the border, some dying, raped, and abused, dealing with the ruthless cartels, and yet DeSantis is accused of being immoral and cruel for sending them in nice climate controlled transports to a luxury island. And now these illegals are suing him for that??? This is what’s sickening, the continued hypocrisy of the democrats and their failed border policy. So they got moved 30 miles away to another facility that has more resources and ability to help, it’ was a far better experience then the one they went through to get to the border.

Deported means forceably removed from the country. But if you want deported to mean taken to a facility for housing and integration we can start deporting a lot more people.

The migrants sent to Martha’s Vineyard by Ron De Santis (himself the grandson of Italian immigrants) were send to the military base in Cape Cod because they were better equipped to deal with these migrants seeking asylum than the facilities in Martha’s Vineyard. While DeSantis were foisting these migrants on deep blue MA to score brownie points with the MAGA base. Community groups were aiding these migrants until they were brought to the base to be looked after. As usual, Gary, you’re making it more complicated than it needs to be.
