Let’s see, a community that has no idea two planeloads of refugees are coming and has no facilities for such a crowd nevertheless scrambles to feed and house them with smiles and kind words. Then that community appropriately contacts their Republican governor who contacts federal authorities (since immigration issues are Under federal NOT state jurisdiction), and the federal government then finds them appropriate temporary housing so they can be properly cared for while being processed. That’s some virtue signaling.

The trafficking signals are all in Florida and Texas, though a few other states are talking about getting some.

Okay, boys and girls, today’s cartoon is about what we call “Blame Shifting”. Racist Republicans committed an illegal and immorally reprehensible act, and are now attempting to not only shift the consequences of that act onto Democrats, they want you to also believe the Democrat’s humanitarian response was a bad and selfish thing.

So, to the Republicans, you should applaud them for abusing those immigrants and chastise the Democrats for treating those abused immigrants as human beings.

When migrants were landed at MV without warning , they were treated well—even by Christians. Far Right radicals like this MAGA blind cartoonist just can’t believe that.

Virtue is anathema to Republicans.

That community did what decent communities do. They pulled together and addressed a need. If taking care of people that have gone through hell only to be treated like hell, is virtue signaling, so be it.

My jaw literally dropped on this one: DeSantis sent migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, using people as political pawns, they were taken care of, and Kelley is choosing to mock the people on MV? Tip: The stunt here deserving of condemnation is on the GOP side.

Nobody knows virtue signaling like a conservative. Pretending to have Christian values. Pretending to care about unborn children. The list goes on an on. So this might be true. Nobody can recognize a lying hypocrite….like another lying hypocrite.

Came her for the virtue signaling and I was not disappointed. The unvarnished truth is very disturbing to the the mindless echo chamber all the comments sections have become since Trump.

This is fascist fiction. The migrants were grateful for the outpouring of support, after DeSantis lured them with false promises of jobs & housing. The folks who registered asylum seekers with fake addresses far from MV will be facing consequences.

In the real world, tearful goodbyes were made when the immigrants boarded a bus to take them where they could be housed as they work out the legal side of their plight. The people of Martha’s Vineyard offered to host some of the immigrants after they make it through their court cases. How very like Republicans to turn a story about the best in humanity into a vicious lie.

Virtue signaling is exactly what MV residents did. Oh sure, they did a dog and pony show as a PR stunt. But they were screaming bloody murder to the Governor and any other person of power with which they influence. All the lefties here acting as apologists for and excusing the MV residents for shipping off those illegal immigrants to where there was “adequate housing” don’t have a leg to stand on. I see much whinging as how there was no housing on MV for them which is an absolute lie. Let me remind everyone that not only is MV an upscale residential area it’s also a go to vacation spot with plenty of hotels, B&Bs, rental homes and even tents. There was NO lack of living quarters available for those illegals. The only reason they were removed is because they were UNWANTED by the locals. Don’t believe me? Here:
