A Plugger reverts to his childhood and thinks certain inanimate objects somehow feel sad” when he doesn’t use them anymore, like “Toy Story” in his clothes closet.
I am constantly disappointed in the quality of the new sweaters/sweat shirts/shirts that I can afford [I assume there may be better ones at much higher prices, but I haven’t found them]. So I wear my old, slightly raggedy shirts at home. It says something about the ‘new’ clothing when I can still wear shirts that have withstood 35+ years of wear and washing and the new ones fall apart within a few weeks.
I am finding that most things aren’t made anywhere near as well as they used to be. Appliances lasted forever because they were affordably REPAIRABLE. Cars/trucks lasted forever because they were built better with less plastic, mechanics knew what they were doing on their own without consulting a computer (and my trucks NEVER talked to me like they do now… hate that). Clothing is cheap, thin, disposable and overly expensive. Not going to go on about food sources and quality.

Why wear the newer stuff? Any Plugger knows the older clothing’s comfy and reliable.

This plugger has been chowing down on too many Peanuts.

Well, unless you’re going someplace special, there’s little reason to dress up in good clothes.
Good clothes won’t remain good if you wear them all the time.
Besides, the old ones are comfy and worn in.

It’s his inner Charlie Brown. He even has a kite eating tree in his back yard, just ask the grandkids.

All my sweaters are like new, in the bottom drawer, haven’t been any new ones since mom died and stopped giving them for Christmas.

I’ve got jeans which are 30 odd years old and I consider them just now getting broken in.

Does anyone remember "Shrink to Fit " Levis, buy them 3 inches more than your waist and 3 inches longer than your leg length. Wash them hot.
