So would Captain Gingerbeard prefer to be an ice cream salesman driving a van in the summer?

We all know how this will end. His wife is going to interrupt him at 4:00AM and tell him the kids have been asleep for hours

And so, Gingerbeard became a simple fisherman, living out his life in anonimity.

Love the tentacle grabbing the mainsail in the first panel – it took me a moment to remember the ship is pointing skyward, and they are standing on the mast!

A guy’s in a bar, where he met an actual pirate and they’re chatting. The guy says “I hope this isn’t out of line but, how’d you get the peg leg?”

The pirate says “during a battle, I was pitched overboard and a shark got it.”

The guy says “wow. How about the hook?”

Pirate: during a different battle I got caught off-balance and an enemy lopped it clear off."

The guy says “amazing. How about the eye patch?”

The pirate says “a seagull pooped in me eye.”

The guy says “how would that cost you your eye?”

And the pirate says “well, it was me first day with me hook.”

Based on a true story.

So will Dad use the crows nest to float home? Will the Captain change his evil ways (and what happened to the rest of the crew?)? Or will the Zianthiads have him for dinner?

Frankly, I hope not! I wanna see where this goes!! … :)

When this arc first began on Sept,12, Dad only said " I suppose" to Wallace’s request for when Dad and Mom first met. At that time, I just thought it was the setup for Sterling’s request of HIS origin story. I wondered why everyone commenting kept expecting Mom to show up at some point in the narrative.
