    Two rules:

If it doesn’t have a cap leave it in the kitchen.

If it makes crumbs keep a dust buster handy.

Ok is he blaming the commercial breaks forcing him to get up and get snacks, and if so how will they kill him? Janis will become infuriated at the mess? It’s all a reach

Prior planning, (bring it all in at first), and a towel in my lap works for me! Crumbs are disposed of on bathroom breaks.

I don’t watch much TV, but I have to admit that when I see the ads, I get the impression that the whole world’s become a lunatic asylum and I’m the last sane person left.

Hate commercial interruptions? Watch soccer. The only commercials are during pre-game, halftime and post-game.

We generally watch TV while doing other things. We have a TV in our home office, our bedroom and our kitchen. I have been online on my work laptop in the kitchen – no eating since dinner. Just short of 2 am and husband has come down for pre -bed snack our third meal of the day (lunch, dinner, pre-bed snack). We have 2 TVs in our living room – one is our old analog set which has only a cable connection and the other is the small “BIG” TV he insisted on buying this year for Saturday night movie date substitute as we are mostly still are not going out due to Covid concerns. I only am comfortable watching the TVs in the office and bedroom both of which are analog and the analog set in the living room (which we normally only watch New Year’s Eve). I have trouble with digital sets as I see little boxes and since he got the big set it is much too bright – even after adjusting the set – for me to watch without those “gets rid of glare” glasses sold on TV. (He promised me that the brightness was a special setting for stores and we would shut it off and turn down the brightness.

He has just come down and switched the TV to the Sunday night 2 am showing of “Murdoch Mysteries”.
