I refuse to eat that Kraft Krap. I do my own stove top white cheddar version with some pepper jack.

Mom doesn’t realize that that compliment is on the other hand a veiled complaint. If it actually tastes delicious today, wouldn’t that mean that yesterday it didn’t taste delicious?

I don’t like the Mac and Cheese from the box. It may have good color, but has very little cheese.

I was in Brazil about 10 years ago and we were eating at a small restaurant and I was trying different popular foods in the area. I saw Mac and Cheese on the menu and thinking it was a Brazilian twist on an old favorite, I ordered it. Much to my amusement, when the dish was brought to the table, it was the familiar orange tinted offering by a major company.

Had an Italian Grand mother that lived with us. I never knew what mac and cheese was until I got married. She made mac and cheese out of box and noodles with ketchup as she called it.. I called my mother and got her grandmas recipe. She invited her parents over for an authentic Italian meal, we came home from work and she said this was the night her parents were coming for the Italian meal, that she needed to get started.. I asked did you read the receipe? She took it out and saw…let simmer for 3-4 hours! I ran downstairs to the pizza parlor on the corner and asked to buy a quart of their sauce. They said they do not sell their sauce but why do I need it. As I started with my Irish wife… by the time I was done, they handed me the quart, said NO charge and were still laughing as I left with the sauce!

Only Wilberforce Thornapple would have his taste buds wired to his eyes and not his brain. Oh wait, he’s a Thornapple, there might not have been enough wire to reach his brain.

Don’t say anything bad about Kraft Mac and Cheese in Canada, it’s considered one of the country’s national dishes.

Tried Ina Garten’s “Overnight Mac and Cheese” recipe. My Grandson, who was working during dinner, had some when he came home, and actually called me to rave about it.

my darling mama (☺) absolutely loved those tubes of cookie dough when they first came out – all you had to do was slice ‘em up, throw ’em on a baking sheet, and, voila! cookies after a few minutes in the oven. if she was feeling wild and crazy she’d add a few raisins to the oatmeal raisin cookies…

My Mom always made Mac and Cheese from scratch. One night she tried to slip that boxed stuff past me. I refused to eat it. LOL

When my daughter was younger, she would refer to some of the things she liked as “artificial goodness.” Pleased to report she’s grown out of that.

I don’t eat Mac and Cheese. I do make macaroni and extra sharp cheddar cheese base which I mix in stewed tomatoes, hot peppers, and cooked ground beef which then baked with a layer of cheddar cheese on top. I eat it with chop sticks.
