Gas is 3.85 where I live; milk admittedly high, student loans will greatly help the nation, and say, what’re the Republicans offering for a vote for them? Nothing nothing nothing.
Please excuse the repost, but here’s the Republican “platform”. They don’t say it out loud. Despite being in the minority, members of the SCOTUS, “Conservatives,” RWNJs, and white supremacists are attempting to drag this country back to their imaginary Jeffersonian agrarian idyl. The 1790 census (when Jefferson was Secretary of State), counted 5.3M Americans. Only white males owning 50 acres or more of land were permitted to vote, approximately 6% of the population. Free white men who did not own land, free white females, and slaves could not vote.
In 1790 the American population was largely rural, making a living by farming. Our most recent census counted 332,403,650 Americans. Current estimates are that 83% of Americans live in urban areas. They do not work at farming.
In pursuit of “small government,” the following are conservatives’ goals for their Jeffersonian America: 1. No women’s rights. 2. No civil rights for people of color, or for any other minority groups. 3. No immigration, other than Caucasians. 4. No labor unions. 5. No health insurance. 6. No legal recourse due to Republican-packed courts. 7. No social security. 8. No disability insurance. 9. No minimum wage. 10. No free and fair elections (ultimately, no elections). 11. Imposed state religion; government funding of religious schools. 12. Unregulated militias unchecked by Republican-packed courts. 13. No work on mitigating climate change; no environmental protections. 14. No free press.
GOP politicians don’t care about the environment or mitigating climate change because they intend to stay permanently in office and use their money and power to take over remaining livable locations as environmental conditions worsen. Republican leaders don’t care if America dies as long as they can feed off the carcass for their lifetimes. Continued…
Republican Platform continued: How many people would have to die or be virtually enslaved in jobs with non-living wages for this "platform to work? Why do you people who support today’s GOP, Trump, and Trump wannabes think that you will come out winners under this regime?
Hey there little bobby, tell us about all the loan forgiveness to republican “lawmakers” under the PPP loan forgiveness program. The highest payout was $2.3 million
Gorell, you need to engage reality sometime. Gas prices are going down and the money those students were going to spend on the interest of their loans is instead going to be spent on things such as food, computers, cars, and rent. In other words it will go back into the economy and help the prosperity of the nation. This is infinitely better than giving tax breaks to wealthy, which has proven time and again not to be a prudent action to help a flagging economy. Moreover, if we do enter into recession, then the government needs to spend spend more, not less. They also need to raise taxes, especially on the wealthy. History has proven time and again the validity of this, the most obvious example being Roosevelt’s constitutional New Deal programs. Lastly, I wish people would stop making a big deal out of the debt. The economy of this country was designed with the idea of having a debt, so long as we continue to make payments, on time to our creditors. Doing so, provided us with an early and solid line of credit and enabled us to weather storms, such as WWI and WWII, and made funding the Civil War than it otherwise would have been. The debt was paid off once and doing so was financially disruptive to the economy and was one of the causes of the Panic of 1836. In the future, you would do well to learn about things you are referencing in your cartoon it will make you not appear so blatantly ignorant.
Mr. Gorrell, did it ever occur to you that maybe people are overwhelmingly Democrat because of the policies and political platform they offer the American people? Somehow that is preferable to the vile hatreds and empty declarations given by the Republicans instead of actual substance.
$10K would cover 7 weeks at my alma mater. And it was a modestly priced private college when I matriculated. Maybe it still is — relatively speaking; 4 years would be $200K, and 99% of the students need financial aid.
Well, we knew that the right wing was going to scream, no matter what happened with student loans. Even if nothing happened, they would complain about that.
Gas is $3.15 where I live. We wouldn’t be so broke if congress would stop handing so much money to a pentagon that can’t account for 21 Trillion. If they need money, let them find that.

As opposed to the trillions given in tax credits to the upper one percent?

Gorrell again demonstrates Republican hatred of having an educated populace.
And again demonstrates Republican compulsion to avoid Trump’s Treason at all costs.

Giving students some relief from their student loan debt is somehow a bribe to vote Democrat, but the Trump tax cuts for the rich were what exactly?
