The christian Taliban that has infested the SCOTUS and the rest of our government is hell-bent on their god (a character in a book, no less) over the country. We are not going to allow that to happen, right?
I get the repug men trying to turn women into slaves and broodmares, what I don’t get are all the women who are so enthusiastic about BEING slaves and broodmares.
Republicans HAVE to lie and cheat in any way they can. When people are given a choice of two statements on issues that actually affect their everyday life, one that describes the Republican position and the other the Democrat’s, the Democratic position is chosen by about 85% of Democrats and Independents. No surprise there. The weird part is that just under half of Republicans also choose Democrat positions, unless they are told which position is supported by each party. Then they fall into line and choose the Republican option- 78% of the time. So, it is entirely reasonable for Republicans to lie a lot. The people running the Republican party are in that half of the Republicans who actually believe in Republican positions. They are roughly 25% of the voting public. They have no chance of ever winning a national election unless they keep as many people as possible from voting and keep the rest of them confused enough to vote against their own best interests.
Please excuse the repost, but here’s their plan: Despite being in the minority, members of the SCOTUS, “Conservatives,” RWNJs, and white supremacists are attempting to drag this country back to their imaginary Jeffersonian agrarian idyl. The 1790 census (when Jefferson was Secretary of State), counted 5.3M Americans. Only white males owning 50 acres or more of land were permitted to vote, approximately 6% of the population. Free white men who did not own land, free white females, and slaves could not vote. In 1790 the American population was largely rural, making a living by farming. Our most recent census counted 332,403,650 Americans. Current estimates are that 83% of Americans live in urban areas. They do not work at farming. In pursuit of “small government,” the following are conservatives’ goals for their Jeffersonian America: 1. No women’s rights. 2. No civil rights for people of color, or for any other minority groups. 3. No immigration, other than Caucasians. 4. No labor unions. 5. No health insurance. 6. No legal recourse due to Republican-packed courts. 7. No social security. 8. No disability insurance. 9. No minimum wage. 10. No free and fair elections (ultimately, no elections). 11. Imposed state religion; government funding of religious schools. 12. Unregulated militias unchecked by Republican-packed courts. 13. No work on mitigating climate change; no environmental protections. 14. No free press. GOP politicians don’t care about the environment or mitigating climate change because they intend to stay permanently in office and use their money and power to take over remaining livable locations as environmental conditions worsen. Republican leaders don’t care if America dies as long as they can feed off the carcass for their lifetimes. Why do you people who support today’s GOP, Trump, and Trump wannabes think that you will come out winners under this regime?
They’re going to try and repeal the 17th Amendment soon so no one gets to vote on their Senator. I doubt they’ll move on the 19th as they’ve gotten really, really, really good at purging non-Republican voters.

I have to wonder how many of them are against Abbott. I have a cousin who lives in a Texass border town who has three sons. She knows Abbott and claims they are BFFs.
In the next term, the Court is likely to rule that re-districting is a purely political matter that courts have no jurisdiction over . . . Goodbye voting rights
Have you heard that ignorant backward Redneck Florida governor dosen’t believe our constitution applies to him, so he out to establish his own dictatorship, he is wrighting his own florida bill of rights. He’s started by signing into law telling Florida citizens what they can say and when they can say it, what a stupid man and he has also has made it clear to all that he is going to run for president in 24 and bring all of his backward Redneck ideas to the White house and shove them down our throughts!
