I guess we’re going to see whether sanity prevails. Certainly mass hysteria of the Qpublican kind has taken over several state legislatures (making voting for “those other people” more difficult)… and in Wyoming, for instance, it’s clear that Trumpism has taken over the majority party there.

More and more, I read that Trumpism has taken root, and will remain even if Trump himself is ever directly out of control. That others will take up the Banner of Trumpism when he cannot. As a political influence, it fills some kind of need for Authoritarianism. Trump will become the figurehead as his movement sails forward.

It gives me the eerie feeling that he will endure as a Big Brother symbol. Republican leadership is at this point beyond the shame of irony, and we might see posters of Trump’s face with the caption, “Donald Trump is Watching You.”

The ship of state has so many leaks and broken planks, it will take generations to rebuild it in its most useful form. And all that took was one loose nut at the wheel who couldn’t be bothered steer, but just let the rudder swing.

As long as there are racists, religious fundamentalists, white nationalists, the Republican party will be there, don’t kid yourself.

The GOP has been reaping the whirlwind. They sowed the wind in 1965; choosing to recruit from the traitor-descendant racists. Trump wasn’t a side-effect; he was the inevitable result, especially after Dubya.

The Grand Old Party is no more! Thanks to the spineless politicians who won’t fight for their rights and for democracy and not let ultra right wing looney nuts distract, take over and obstruct. It’s headed down a nazi path of destruction of America! They need to reign in anyone who threatens the once pristine Country, that the world looked up to!

With the greed, the guns, stacking the courts, the bribes, the lying, deceit, and pure hate, they need to go! Someone needs to close the lid on Pandoras Box…very very soon!

I’m an Independent and never vote a straight ticket, because there are some issues I don’t agree with in both parties. But after rump-ism started in 2015, I will vote a straight Democratic ticket until issues get straightened out. If ever…..

Crossing the aisle is the answer…not obstruction to the point of making WE the people be the brunt of decisions and or no decisions. There are hundreds of bills on the shelf that need the attention of the congress but they’re all too busy corrupting, raising monies for their next campaigns, taking bribe money, and being gone….ineffective governing, unqualified congress members are bringing Lady Liberty to her knees!

    Please, anyone…..HELP!

Republicans (synonymous with TRUMP as recent primaries show) are incapable of detecting hypocrisy.

They believe in the Rule of Law and Law Enforcement, yet thumb their noses at Law in the courts as they ignore subpoenas and threaten death to enforcement officials and their families when they enforce the law against Republican criminal activity or beat officers up as part of “Legitimate Political Discourse” as their “patriots” ransack the Capitol and threaten death to the Vice President.

They also believe that immigrants are shiftless and lazy and don’t want to even learn our official language, English (we have NO official language, but don’t confuse them with the facts). These same people steal our high-paying jobs.

They cringe in fear at the “Browning of America” or as they like to call it “Replacement Theory” and plan to stop it by making it impossible for women of color to get an abortion.

They find that even mentioning the word “slavery” is too traumatic for school children to hear, yet offer nothing more than “thoughts and prayers” after school children see their classmates gunned down before their eyes.

Part of the genetic personality traits of conservatives lean towards fear so they find authoritarian governments to be "safe. "

BTW, didn’t you mean to say [Steve] Bannon of Trumpism instead of “Banner?”

Friend’s dog used to deposit dead stuff on his porch. He dumped the ‘gift’ in the trash. This one will keep showing up again and again because it will be recycled over and over for years.

Trump is sending out hundreds of tweets fanning the flames of violence against FBI agents and their families because it is making him $$$.

It’s January 6th all over again. He doesn’t care who gets killed as long as they are “his people” doing his bidding.

All he has to do is tell his base to stop and like the robots they are, they will cease their illegal activities, but as long as they sing his praises and give him their money, he’s as happy as a pig in you know what.

Fox News is no better. It’s helping their ratings so let’s lie to the public about them planting evidence and how the raid was illegal.

Gotta wonder which of Buttercup’s more recent pit woofies gave up that sash for 10 seconds in the sack.

Also wonder what’s happened to the Missus or the kids. Have not seen a single photo, article, or report of a wifely speech, if she’s actually made one since 2020. Where is she? Stuck up in the Mar el Lago tower watching him and his once-and-done playmates via closed circuit tv? Same for the darling heirs to the madness. Evidently they are no longer worth tv time. Just wondered.

Not that I mind. Could stand a lot less of Buttercup too.
