It’s curious how all the magats ignore the fact that the FBI had a warrant, and the DOJ is dotting all thier i’s and crossing all thier t’s as they seem to be doing everything by the book.
It’s HILARIOUS watching the GQP twisting itself into KNOTS trying to Defend a TRAITOR TO AMERICA, trying to claim that it’s all “A Set-up”, or “Fake News”, or “A Corrupt FBI”, or “Deep State”, or whatever other nonsense they can conjure up, while they KNOW that he IS a TRAITOR TO AMERICA!!!
HYPOCRITES!! During the 2016 campaign, it was OK to chant: "LOCK HER UP!! LOCK HER UP!! The FBI investigated the Benghazi incident, we didn’t hear Hillary plead the 5th, yet time these supporters of ‘45’ try to whitewash what he did, now they want the FBI to be disbanded.
Since conservatives are so enamored with the Republican Party and TFG, It is strange we have yet to hear a single Republican address a very simple question. Why did he take them? The rest of us know why, so let’s leave conservatives room here to explain themselves.
To our right-wing friends here, I have a simple question: Declassified or not (and there’s very good reason to believe they were not properly declassified), WAS THERE ANY LEGITIMATE REASON whatsoever for Trump to have such sensitive documents (which remain the property of the US government, not that of the former president) in his private possession, especially after his term ended?
Given that — declassified or not — the information in those files remained the same, and that if anyone from, say, a hostile foreign government ever got hold of them, it could put the lives of secret agents and our military at risk — what possible motive could Trump have had for keeping them, especially in such an insecure location?
It does make you wonder why a person like trump, who is functionally illiterate and has the attention span of mildew, would take documents that are highly detailed and top secret.
In what I am sure is an unrelated matter, Jarred Kushner got a check for 2-billion dollars from the Saudis.
The fulminating and over-the-top reaction of Publicans to the very idea that Trump might break the law and get caught is an interesting spectacle. None of those people should be anywhere near positions of authority.

NO elected Republicans have touched, directly or indirectly, or even come within 100 miles of asking:
What in HELL was Trump going to do with top secret sensitive nuclear secrets?
.
Anybody think they’re terrified of what the answer is?
.
Instead, they claim:
It was declassified, retroactively.
It shouldda been subpoenaed.
It was planted.
It had already been returned.
False flag.
You are not allowed to look at evidence.
Fake news. It wasn’t really there.
Political overreach, politically motivated only.
All presidents do it, and Obama was worse.
.
And, the ultimate Trump card: It’s OKAY If A Republican Does It!
NO matter what.

I would hope that the FBI get a search warrant for Trump Towers and his Bedminster Golf Club. Who knows what they may find there.

Did you see where the orange tater-tot ‘demanded’ the return of all seized documents:
