Isn’t Trump and the RNC against “Peaceful Transfers of Power”? The certainly were in Dec 2019 and Jan 2020.

Well, we wouldn’t have to worry about this if the Republicans would just accept THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE WHEN THEY LOSE A FAIR ELECTION like Agolf Twitler did in 2020.

Baghdad Bok descends into reductio ad absurdum, unless he’s referring to TFG getting back into the White House somehow.

I see that Bok is projecting again. Since he’s contractually bound to support the party which has SHOWN itself to be opposed to the peaceful transfer of power.

Trump Disciple Bok is outraged that His Messiah and the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, and the fake electors conspirators were not successful in their violent attempt to overthrow the government of the United States.

Republicans HATE democracy and are on a mission to eliminate it in America.

We the People should have demanded the elimination of the Electoral College when it was us to elect a radical populist in spite of the popular vote as NOW the radical right feels the popular vote is meaningless and their candidate can be declared the winner at will by a state legislature regardless of verified election results.

Since it is becoming more and more apparent the Republican Party will never be able to offer anything of value to the American voter, They won’t be around to cause this type of scenario to become reality.

All these problems can be laid at the feet of one person and one alone, trump and his refusal to accept he LOST. No other Republican or Democrat president ever tried to subvert the electoral process like trump did. No other Republican or Democrat president called upon people to storm the capital. People around trump said he hated being President but loved the attention.

I don’t have a problem with conservatives. In fact, I believe most of them are patriots and want our democratic republic to succeed. It is trump who pollutes the airwaves with his self-serving propaganda because he is a clinical narcissist and has to be the center of attention. His message is carried out and encouraged by Fox and others for purely profit motives. What results is a perfect storm of hate that consumes people and pits them against one another.

I encourage the Right to step back and look at the man that trump is; is he really worth this? Beware those who want to mimic trump’s actions for their own political gain. Look for a candidate that has ideas for your future. If Liz Cheney or Governor Hogan ran for President, I probably would not agree with all their ideas, and I would fiercely debate you on the issues, but I wouldn’t worry about our democracy.

Lawful search conducted by the Trump-appointee-led FBI, signed off by a Trump-appointed judge, and 12 boxes of materials retrieved that Trump didn’t return when asked previously.

    What’s the problem?

“Anyone being investigated by the FBI is not qualified to be the president of the United States.”

    Donald Trump said this on 8-3-16, 9-7-16, 10-15-16, 10-20-16, 10-21-16, 10-25-16, and 10-30-16.

As always, Mr Bok misses the point. Which is, that if you’re a grifter, serial lawbreaker, liar, swindler, and mountebank, sooner or later law enforcement will have a chat with you.

Well I certainly want to see the search warrant and the list of items removed. Fox just aired a “man on the street” interview and it’s apparent that conservatives and Republicans want to see this stuff also. Looks like Merrick Garland just lied to the American people. He said that whenever possible they use the least intrusive means possible. President Trump’s team had been cooperating with government agents and had already surrendered fifteen boxes of documents under a previous subpoena. When the subject of the remaining boxes of documents came up those same agents just recommended that they be locked up. So the governs knew how many documents still remained there, what they were and the information they contained and that they were protected under lock and key.

So why the raid? Why not issue another subpoena? The government knew what was still at Mar-A-Lago and that President Trumps attorneys and representatives was fully cooperating with them. Why was it necessary for thirty FBI agents to invade with a warrant when by all indications they only had to ask for them. That being the “least intrusive method”.

When Obama was asked about classified documents he took to his home, he puts wry look on his face and said, “Well, there’s classified and then there’s classified.” Meaning there are some things that should never have been classified and others that are over classified.

Garland also stated that the warrant was narrow in scope. Really? If that was true and this was just about the remaining documents as we’ve been told, then why did they go beyond that room where they knew the documents were locked up? President Trump’s wife’s lingerie and wardrobe seems beyond a ‘narrow scope’.

Chip, dear, I know Trump wanted to style Mar-a-Lago the “winter White House”, but it’s really not, and he’s not been in power for over two years. He is not immune to investigation or prosecution for crimes he has committed. It’s never before been necessary to investigate a President in this manner, because all Presidents before this have been patriots — some have pushed the line awfully far, and some have even violated the law, the first 43* men to hold the office did actually care about the country and its institutions, and care enough to not explicitly threaten them. None of them would have behaved so outrageously as to require a warrant be served on them in order to retrieve stolen classified material. But then, none before has seen themselves as above the law.

We’ll only see violence on future transfers of power if Trump is allowed to go unpunished for his behavior. No other president has had to be punished for this, but that’s because no other president has behaved so disgracefully. We cannot let this stand, or it will indeed become normal.

*Weird but true: Trump is the 45th President, but only the 44th man to hold the office. This is because of Grover Cleveland, who was both the 22nd and 24th President.

I’ll bet he is sorry he signed that bill in 2018 making it a felony to steal white house classified documents. He appointed the FBI director that OKed the raid. He knew nothing about politics and was highly unqualified and now we have 3 SCOTUS judges that were also unqualified. YEA AMERICA.
