Shucks, even some of the long time Türd Reich trolls have rolled over and gone belly up after the warrant and search. Only the double dipping (or was that dipwad?) hardcore Kool-aid fools are still trying to deflect and distract. But that same ol’, same ol’ BS from Hitler & Goebbels Big Lie playbook ain’t gonna save their boy Dolt .45 after that and then pleading the 5th (“Taking the 5th, I think it’s disgraceful,” “If you’re innocent, why are you taking the 5th amendment?,” and “The mob takes the 5th.”) so very many times during his deposition.

Law and Order Alt-Reich 2022 style: it becomes the norm in police work to contact a person under investigation, let them know what’s going on with a potential case, make an appointment to conduct a raid to collect more evidence (because we all know that person has not nor will make future attempts to destroy documents).

Questions about potentially “classified” documents are all very well, but there’s a much simpler and more obvious crime with which he could be charged, convicted, and imprisoned: stealing government property.

For that charge to stick, the property doesn’t have to be “classified”; it’s only necessary that it rightfully belongs to the government and not to the individual who took it.

And yeah, it’s a lesser charge, but a conviction on a lesser charge doesn’t preclude pursuit of a greater charge. If that weren’t the case, any murderer could avoid being tried for murder by pleading guilty to a speeding violation.

“Anyone being investigated by the FBI is not qualified to be the president of the United States.”

    Donald Trump said this on 8-3-16, 9-7-16, 10-15-16, 10-20-16, 10-21-16, 10-25-16, and 10-30-16.

DOJ served Trump subpoena for classified docs months before FBI raid

Solomon on Thursday writes: “Two months before his Florida home was raided by the FBI, former President Donald Trump secretly received a grand jury subpoena for classified documents belonging to the National Archives, and voluntarily cooperated by turning over responsive evidence, surrendering security surveillance footage and allowing federal agents and a senior Justice Department lawyer to tour his private storage locker, according to a half dozen people familiar with the incident.”

“The subpoena requested any remaining documents Trump possessed with any classification markings, even if they involved photos of foreign leaders, correspondence or mementos from his presidency.”

According to multiple news outlets, FBI agents carted away an additional 10 to 12 cartons on Monday, in addition to the 15 the National Archives was forced to travel to Mar-a-Lago to retrieve earlier this year.

Even Rupert Murdoch’s Trump-friendly New York Post on Tuesday reported a “showdown over the materials first erupted back in January when the National Archives said it had retrieved 15 boxes of White House records — including classified information — from Mar-a-Lago that Trump should have turned over when he left office. The feds took another 12 boxes of material on Monday.”
